EXCELLENT

Posted 08-Sep-2014
Pros: Clean, modern and spacious.
Cons: I can't think of anything
Location: We only went for Southampton University open day but there seemed to be other things to do. We managed a visit to Marwell Wildlife which was lovely.
Could not fault anything about this hotel. The rooms were clean and spacious. The hotel was immaculate and very modern. Lovely open areas indoors with a lovely secluded courtyard with tables and chairs outside. We also used the swimming pool which again was very clean and well kept. Staff very helpful. No complaints whatsoever which is unusual for me!

A very clean welcoming hotel

Posted 06-Aug-2014
Pros: An open aspect to the reception / bar area. Staff providing complementary drinks on arrival.
Cons: Did not see lift to upper floor?.
Location: Portsmouth harbour is a must visit, although pricing to see naval museums is high.
One night only, but would happily return. Staff friendly , and helpful.

Hotel a Bit Tired

Posted 14-Jul-2014
Pros: It was in a good location with adequate parking. Despite being adjacent to a busy roundabout and the A27, there was no road noise.
Cons: Stop noisy children running around the corridors at night. Think they were part of the wedding parties!
Location: There is plenty of things to do in Portsmouth, Southampton and the New Forest. There are leaflets by reception for all the sights and attractions.
Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights last week during a house move. Think it is due a refurbishment! The room was a bit tired, the hot tap for the sink dripped all the time, you couldn't turn it off and the bath hot tap didn't produce any water, hot or cold!, to fill the bath we resorted to using the shower! Also the bed was made with the quilt at the bottom of the quilt cover and tucked in under the mattress. When you got into bed, the quilt cover had about 12 inches of empty cover at the top, the top of the quilt needed to be pulled up into the top of the cover. After the first night, I took quilt and cover off and sorted it out, but noticed that when the bed was made, the bottom sheet wasn't pulled out to make it smooth, it was just covered up and left, which would have been uncomfortable. Also the mattress was uncomfortable, think the bed was only 4' 6" or it was so warn out that you rolled into the middle all the time. We only had breakfast one morning, it was a special price. Would have been upset if we had paid the full price as it was disappointing. We ate at about 0830 and think it was all cooked for the 0700 start of breakfast, so it was a bit dried up.

close to Portsmouth

Posted 27-May-2014
Pros: Nice Lobby and the Hotel smelt nice through the corridors, Staff were very helpful.
Location: Mostly Portsmouth with its Dockyard facilities, and there was a nice shopping mall
Very friendly staff and nice room. We were greeted on arrival with a glass of wine and given chocolate when we left. Food in Hotel was reasonably priced and nice You could drive to the Park and Ride bus service which was not far away from Hotel which took you into the Hard at Portsmouth.

This hotel give excellent service .My one concern is that my door was left open presumably buy the cleaning staff, so do not leave personal items in your room when you leave in the mornings. This hotel is better than most.

Our room wasn't ready on arrival but we were offered a complimentary glass of wine while we waited. We didn't wait long.

Hotel charges for Wi-Fi

Posted 20-Apr-2014
Pros: Clean and tidy, helpful staff. Swimming Pool
Cons: Please review your wifi policy, I understand you may charge but by the hour? Buy a coffee & Starbucks will do it for free!
Overall reasonable standard, a little tired in places, helpful staff. However GB£3.95 for one hour wi-fi is really disappointing.

Disappointing.

Posted 27-Jan-2014
Pros: Staff very friendly and willing.
Cons: Better bedding. Cheaper breakfast offers. Hairdryers as standard. Fridge in room.
The failities in the room were minimal. No hairdryer (you get them as standard in Premier Inns!) The duvet was so thin I had to ask for a blanket. Food was ridiculously expensive. They trade on their cinvenient localtion and Spa facilities (not for me) but it is NOT a good hotel experience. Been to much better much cheaper.
