The property is very modern and clean. Shoes off at the entry, they provide disposable slippers, helps keep the floor very clean! The bed was comfortable. The common kitchen area was clean and organized. We would definitely come back again. As a bonus we were able to view the Northern Lights right from our room window!!

Beautiful Facility with A Lot of False Advertising
The facility and location is beautiful. Unfortunately that’s the only good thing to say. This place is priced and advertised as a high end hotel, but there are literally NO staff there. You check yourself in, handle your own bags, they don’t clean your room. They give you a few crummy snacks in your room that never get replenished and that’s the extent of the food within 20 minutes. It’s honestly just a hostel priced like a high end hotel. Which would be fine if it were advertised as such and priced appropriately. Overall very very disappointed with the experience.

I thought that the opportunity to see the Northern lights was amazing but there is no staff on site, the lodge was dirty and dusty, the water pressure and hot water non-existent. Still using COVID as an excuse not to serve breakfast at a B&B. Poorly maintained and cleared pathways and parking lot.

NO food, NO service, NO communication on site. NO support for activities. No airport service (like every other motel in Alaska) No timely check-in over 2 hours late, and didnt even finish. Did NOT match renderings. Feel completely ripped off. Check out Borealis basecamp -- now that is a worthy resort: food, communications, activities and more! You should be embarrassed for false marketing. And I will be active on media warning other seasoned travels like us and others, so they dont buy your lies! Not remotely luxury. Would NEVER recommend.

We originally chose that room because we wanted three rooms, and we were looking forward to checking in, but when I went over the room was not cleaned. The attendant did not understand our stay and the number of days, and there was no communication between the cleaning department and the front desk. In the end we were given a double and a single in addition to the room, without any other compensation. Not a very pleasant experience

We are sorry to hear what you have experienced and we have already done an inspection on the root cause of the issue as it was our first time having this issue as well. We hope that the additional rooms offered to you, which worth 400 more that you booked, can somewhat resolve the issue. That was the max number of rooms we have for the night.

This place is not deserving to be on Expedia. Nonsense Checkin process. The “Main Window” can’t see out at night, due to poor lighting design and floodlights. No soft lights outside rooms to see outside. Dimmers don’t work. Poorly designed. TV doesn’t work. Strict quiet time rules but the idiot who designed the place, installed all heavy weighted doors that are super loud. If you get lucky to see “northern lights” which is unlikely due to outside floodlights, then good for you. I do not recommend this place.

The Aurora Villa is a beautifully appointed retreat with exceptional views. The staff was responsive and kind. Rooms are large with floor to ceiling windows which invite nature into your accommodations. Before you arrive, stop by the store for food and drink as there no onsite restaurant or store close by.

The hotel and property is beautiful, very quiet and a great spot to see Aurora Borealis. The staff is not present but everything is done virtually and is easy enough. The rooms are super comfortable, with amazing views and also beverages in the mini fridge

Good for the views
The place was beautiful, awesome views, clean and very minimalistic style. However, there was no breakfast available (even though our reservation included it) and there was no service at all. Masks are still required (July 2021) even though the whole State does not ask for it anymore. This place needs to work to be a little bit more welcoming and cozy for their guests.

Bed and breakfast, with No Breakfast, no staff, no support. Check in was just painful and really complicated as there’s no one there. You are forced to send emails with your personal information including your credit card (actual pictures). They had several other requirements which they failed to disclose before arrival, specifically they requested us to send the Covid test results (instructions before getting there would have been very helpful). No food available, not even the breakfast they advertise. We left in the morning to find something to eat without interacting with a single soul. For the high cost of every night I would expect something completely different. Not worth it. Completely disappointed.

Our breakfast has been disabled sure to the covid and Expedia and it's corporations is among the only booking platform would still showing bed and breakfast due to their bug. In any case, we are really sorry about not providing you enough to meet your expectation and we will continue to improve. We sincerely appreciate your feedback.

I was looking for a quiet getaway where I could view the Northern Lights and Aurora Villa did not disappoint. It was private and I had a beautiful view from my room. It is extremely clean. It exceeded my expectations. I plan on returning next year.

Excellent place - just offer coffee, please!
I appreciate services are limited because of COVID, but there was no coffee or any pre-packaged food available at all. At a minimum, they can buy small Keurig / Nescafe coffee makers for the rooms. Offering granola bars, bananas, microwave popcorn, etc. would be a nice touch since there is no food nearby (Fairbanks is 15 miles away). Otherwise, this place is stunning. The lodge, the rooms, the view - all excellent. I would definitely stay here again.

Great view of the snow and mountains. Also have free sledding if the weather condition permits. But the breakfast is just okay, not many options. Overall, great customer service and friendly staffs.

Great property, stayed in separate cottage. Water pressure needs improvement. Although a sign says that water pressure might drop during the day, there were times in morning or evening when no water came out of shower or sink to do dishes. WiFi and phone service sporadic at best. We did not mind since it is a retreat, but for the prize, this B&B is somewhat overpriced, considering is it out of season. That said we were happy to be there.

Thank you Emely and Shelby for making our stay so great! This is a wonderful, nicely tucked away respite location. The place has amazing views, the staff is very warm, welcoming, and helpful! If you’re looking for some R&R this place is lovely. Although the walls are a little thin and noise can travel easily at night...so everyone that stays has to be considerate of your neighbor. It was our first time out to Alaska and it was amazing!

Although the view and the room was excellent, the breakfast that was described while booking was not exactly breakfast but more like grab and go. It was highly disappointing as the price of the hotel was almost double and I was expecting a great luxurious vacation. They had bagels which were old and had mold which I threw away. There were packets of noodles which you could cook and eat. It looked more like a college dorm. Considering the fact that they don’t provide with lunch and dinner, I was expecting good breakfast but I was really disappointed. Also, It is not centrally located. If I had to eat lunch or dinner, I had to pay $40 per trip to go eat. Not convenient at all. The website said that the staff was on duty from 7am to midnight but it was inaccurate as the staff wasn’t there till late morning. This villa had prices of a 5 star hotel but it is operated like a college dorm.

Superb Staff & Exceptional Accommodations
I have spent my career travelling. I have stayed in more hotels than I can count. And I can say with certainty that Aurora Villa gave my husband and me the most-unique, most-exceptional stay of my life. Here is why - and please note - this review is for an Aurora-hunting trip in the winter… Aurora Villa has been carefully positioned to provide its guests with excellent views during both the day and the night. During the day, we saw a beautiful, pristine valley. And the view faces north, so at night, we had the opportunity to see the Aurora in its glory. Aurora Villa has a sophisticated décor and a plentiful make-your-own breakfast buffet. But enough about the building blocks. What makes Aurora Villa exceptional is its staff. Never have I encountered a staff that cared so deeply about our experience while in their space; their interest in our happiness was genuine. A few tips for your winter stay: * Don’t rent a car. We saw many tourists stuck in the snow. Take a cab. It will be a pricey, because Aurora Villa is a distance from Fairbanks, but it will be worth every penny. * Stop at a grocery store on your way to Aurora Villa. Aurora Villa provides breakfast, but not lunch, dinner or snacks. Take your own, use their microwave/fridge/toaster in the common area. * Take your entertainment subscription passwords for the smart tvs. Aurora Villa is too far out of town to get television reception. But internet is robust. I look forward to going back some day!

Very nice villa, we arrive very late pass 12:00 midnight ,the front desk lady still there wait fot us. Try to Arrive at the villa before dark , they turn super light color light bulb so people can see the aurora. So if you come night time is dark like you walk in to bar, also the villa location need to drive in to wood area also super dark. Suggest also not talk to loud too.

Almost brandnew, so it's very clean and beautiful. Location is good as well. No refrigerato is located in each room, this is inconvenient for us.
