A lovely, clean and tidy room at The Globe
A lovely, clean and tidy room at the back of The Globe courtyard, with a warm and comfortable look and furniture. We found The Globe easily and enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful stay at The Globe, Topsham. Stayed for nights and visited Exeter for a day of Xmas shopping. Accommodation was perfect. Comfy beds, tea/coffee facilities, very clean and modern. Lovely atmosphere in the hotel. Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone visiting Topsham/area

The staff were helpful,they carried my small case up the stairs for me, called a taxi when I left The room was lovely, very spacious, the bed was very comfortable

Room was lovely, only problem was it got very warm and despite a Dyson fan being provided it was still very warm. Bed was super comfy. Would visit again but would request a room with easier steps/stairs, purely because of my slight mobility problem. I hadn't mentioned this when booking, so completely my fault

Lovely setting right in the heart of Topsham, good shower and very comfy bed. The food was lovely especially the trio of fish, well done chef.

The best thing about the Globe is the water pressure. The rooms are quaint but there is no elevator. The worst thing is the parking. You have to park around the corner on a long street or up the side street at a parking lot. The side street actually leads right into the middle of the Globe hotel complex but on the map it looks like the street ends. Take that street to get to the lot and you take 3/4 off the time and distance. Why the hotel staff doesn't tell you this trick is beyond me. The waitress in the restaurant was nice but the rest of the staff was okay. Why are most of the people in Britain not friendly?

I do like Topsham but unfortunately in January we were very limited to resturants being open. The lighting in the rooms in hotel is so bad. Do not know about outside rooms, but was warm and comfortable enough. Unfortunately St Austell not have standardised menus - one say the same on in Padstow last week!

Way Overpriced!
The male bar Manager was very lacking in people skills, a bit abrupt but the rest of the staff were very good, good cleaners. Way overpriced, didn’t even include a breakfast in the £120 a night room. No car parking permits either which has been useful in the past with the cost of parking nowadays. Dinner one night which was poor and again, far too expensive for the quality.

Perfect room, bathroom and location as always 😊 but some difficulty to find someone who can process both check in and out - possibly have a sign directing you to bar/restaurant etc and /or a drop key box. Also 10.30 check out very early - most hotels offer 11am at least . 😊

Love the Globe
Lovely rooms, and a lovely pub. The food is great and the location is excellent - I always stay here when visiting the Topsham/Exeter area for work. Dog friendly, parking is free in the carpark down the road after 5pm and before 9am.

Lovely hotel, definitely recommend a stay here.
Really lovely hotel. We stayed in the annexe rooms. Spotlessly clean. Lovely comfortable room. Whilst there is no parking on site, there is a long stay car park a short walk from the Globe and it costs £5 per day. Would highly recommend and will be visiting again.
