Centrally located, in the entrance to the Medina, close to the beach and fishing port. Rooms have the old style charm, excellent helpful staff, breakfast delicious and served. Roof top for stung views.

Lovely riad--the rooftop terrace has million-dollar views. Our room was comfortable (prepare for a super-firm bed!) and clean. The location was excellent, at a quiet corner of the medina looking out onto the beach. Kind and informative staff (thank you Galene!) and yummy breakfasts. Would definitely stay here again.

Madada Mogador is a beautiful hotel located in the perfect location, right on the walls of the old city, where most tourist attractions and activities take place. The hotel is in close proximity to the port and the beach, making it easy to explore the city's sights and sounds. The room we stayed in was spacious and comfortable, with a separate loft area that was perfect for three people. However, the artificial lighting was low and made the room dark at night. Additionally, the framed picture in the room could be replaced with something more impactful and characteristic. The hotel's customer service was exceptional, accommodating all your requests in a professional and efficient manner. The reception staff went above and beyond to ensure your stay was comfortable and enjoyable, from booking restaurants to arranging activities. The Art Cafe suggestion they made resulted in the best experience of your trip. The restaurant located below the hotel offered great modern cuisine options in a sophisticated yet relaxed environment. Although slightly expensive, the food and drinks were worth the price, making it one of the best restaurants in the city. In summary, Madada Mogador is an excellent hotel with an unbeatable location, exceptional customer service, and great amenities. It is highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Essaouira, Morocco.

The loft was an awesome room and we really enjoyed the terrace. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were helpful and wonderful. I'd definitely stay again!

Fantastic stay
Hotel was excellent with super friendly accommodating staff. We stayed for 5 days in the loft (family room) which was spacious for 3 (king and two twins with two bathrooms). The kitchen is not really functional (there is no fridge or anything to cook with or dinnerware). However, they happily allowed us to put wine in their fridge though! The loft is in a bit of an odd location- you walk through their kitchen to access. Being close to the kitchen also means some noise in the morning if you are a light sleeper. The breakfasts were so delicious and location perfect. The rooftop deck is amazing for breakfast or watching the sunset. Their restaurant is also outstanding. Would definitely stay here again!

A terrific property, friendly staff and one of my favorite breakfasts in all of Morocco! Our room faced the ocean and it was a lovely view. The rooftop is magnificent. Make sure to get reservations for their restaurant next door, it was absolutely delightful. We stayed for one night and it wasn’t enough. Can’t wait to come back!

The roof area was great. Location was excellent--short walk to beach and at the Medina. Service excellent. On down side no elevator and tub had a half shower.

Service was excellent all around. We stayed in the Pacha Sea View room which was lovely. The only thing to note is that the bed is very very firm so wasn't the best for us. Otherwise I would 100% without a doubt recommend Madada Mogador. The location was perfect, restaurant shouldn't be missed and service was spectacular! Despite the bed I would stay again.

A great place for a family of 4.
We traveled with our 2 kids (4 and 1), and we were looking for something large but still not too big for 2 nights. The loft at Madada was great (maybe a little too big for our needs). I’d say it’s perfect for a family of 4, with children able to stay in their own room. Our experience was great, people were very welcoming, warm and very helpful. I think it’s possible to get something much cheaper in the area, but considering quality of service, and how much effort has been put into maintaining the place, the cost is well worth it.

Fantastic location, probably the best in Essaouira. Our room “Salma” had great beach and harbor views with big windows which we could open to let the fresh air in. Room was clean with no chemical or fragranced cleaner smells! Thank You! Nice breakfast in lobby or terrace could be enjoyed with the best coffee. Lots of stairs to access room but there is a restroom on lobby level to help minimize climbing. When you visit you will want to eat at their restaurant La Table for a continuation of the hospitality and great food. Essaouira was a low key relaxing visit for us with none of the aggressive vendors we found in Marrakesh. Very friendly people.

The property was exceptional. Location great for walking and safety. Restaurants close by. The room was extremely clean and daily taken care of. The bedding was pristine. The bed itself was very hard and made it difficult to sleep several nights. The air conditioner did not work well.

Amazing stay inside the Medina of Essaouira
The only downside is that my French is not good enough for the whole staff. Otherwise, the location, condition, service is excellent. I’ll recommend this for couples romantic travel specially. It is inside the old Medina near the Baab Sbaab. Also within a 10minute walk from the Supratours terminal. You have a view of the ocean if you decide to have meals at the rooftop and close to the fishing port. The bathroom in the Junior suite is large with a large soak tub. The bed is perfect for a see sleeper like me. Breakfast is the same everyday but you get to choose where you can have it. Staff is friendly and attentive and as mentioned, it’s my French that is lacking. Definitely recommend the hotel.

Lovely place to stay and very conveniently situated. My room was fine, good shower. The staff were quite helpful and I was able to leave my belongings there for the following day after check out. I had a great facial from Corine. Great for watching the sun set.

Amazing experience for a solo traveller
I had an amazing stay at the Madada Mogador, they looked after me so well which was important to me as a solo traveller (female). The riad is beautiful - chic, minimal but with elements of the traditional. My room was upgraded on arrival which was a lovely touch, so I had a sea view, balcony and huge bathroom - all gorgeous. Breakfast was the standard Moroccan meal but very well done - fresh orange juice, coffee, fresh pancakes, eggs any way you like, home made jams and delicious breads, fruit and yoghurt. Soaking up the sun on the roof terrace whilst eating breakfast was a treat after London cold and rain. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, making bookings for me: at Azur Hamman (superb), Dar Caravane restaurant (Moroccan kitsch but good food), L'Aterlier Madada for a cooking lesson and tour of the spice souk (highly recommended), La Table Madada (their restaurant next door) - high end Moroccan food experience , delicious). La Chalet de la Plage over the road from the Riad is good value and great sea food, quaintly old-fashioned with its wooden interior and charming service. Another highlight was my massage with Corinne in the Madada's spa room right at the top of the building with panaromic views. It was amazing - so relaxing and I highly recommend her. I had a fabulous stay and hope to return with my daugther next year. Thank you to all at Madada.

Shame about the current redevelopment work nearby
The hotel itself cannot be faulted. We were extremely well looked after. Unfortunately at the moment (October 2017) the Orsen Welles gardens in front of the hotel are being redone involving a lot of noise, machinery and dust which rather spoilt the enjoyment of the terrace and view.However when completed (?2-3 months) it will enhance the hotel.
