The Staff were all so excellent and helpful, especially Geanina. Easy walking to the superb cathedral, museum and shops. The food was also excellent and I would recommend the High Flyer to anyone.

Really good accommodation. Great value.
Excellent stay here. Really convenient for this wonderful city . Great accommodation, very comfortable, excellent value, all the staff are friendly& professional. Brilliant bathroom & superb shower. Very happy to return here.

Limited parking , first come first served basis . Food & drinks were good apart from the carvery on the Sunday as we ate late when the carvery was finishing up so not the same choices as normal. Image it's good at lunchtime . Breakfast wasn't till 10 o'clock which wasn't a problem for us and would have arranged for chef to come in earlier if we needed it . Room was comfortable with a nice large shower.

Room was tired with loose toilet seat, shower door not closing causing water on the floor, tv not connected to arial so only able to use subscriptions services. Door lock worn making it difficult to lock and unlock. On a positive, food was great and bed comfortable and staff were pleasant.

So close to the shopping centre. Staff were very welcoming.excellent breakfast. When was clean and tidy we had a good night. We will definitely return in the future.

A beautiful place to stay with fantastic staff. We picked the hottest two days of the year to stay, 30 and unfortunately there was no Air Conditioning. The room was unbearably hot as the window was tiny but we were brought up a second fan. Didn’t make much difference as it was just so hot! Not the hotels fault about the weather but I was expecting that little bit extra as the place had just had a refit.

Can’t wait to stay here again!
First impressions were superb, largely driven by the warmest of welcomes by the staff. Pretty place, with a calm but characterful environment. The food was superb, nicely presented, and tasted fabulous. All at a fair price. The bedroom was lovely, comfortable bed, huge TV, and comfortable bathroom. Perfect location for exploring Ely and the delights that the city (and it’s beautiful cathedral) has to offer. Would definitely stay here again, absolutely loved our weekend staying here.

On arrival we were asked to pay for the room. This had already been paid via Expedia, slow process to prove this and staff aware that other guests have been charged twice. Room wasn't great, first room given had a toilet that didn't flush and door handle fell off. Moved rooms, no fan in this room, very hot overnight, quite noisy from corridor, tv from next room, could hear every conversation from adjoining rooms and every time the hand drier in the restaurant below was used. Not a great sleep, very saggy mattress and lumpy pillows.

Loved the location and the GREAT shower, the bed mattress & lack of a flat sheet were annoying. The food in the dining room was good but the sticky tabletops were "ick."

Rooms are over an Inn so easy access to food and drink also near center of town so easy walking. Room and large bathroom both very clean, comfortable and quiet.

Comfortable, very clean and adjacent free parking.
We had their superior room (No. 1). Comfortable and well appointed and an over large TV. The bathroom was large, as was the shower cubicle. The shower had good controls, good flow rate and temperare adjustment. Unfortunately it was unheated and the window was draughty. The room was very clean and comfortable overall. We didn't have breakfast or dinner in the High Flyer as we had decided on local cafes and specialised restaurants. Hotel is well positioned for local attractions shops and eateries.

A warm and welcoming place
Really friendly and welcoming place to stay. All the staff were warm and friendly. The breakfast was excellent and huge - it kept us going for the entire day.

Strange but ok.
Strange. A busy modern pub, with a focus on food. Initial greeting was nice and friendly . Arranged for a time to have breakfast . In the morning the pub was in darkness , except for the kitchen. The chef was friendly and cooked a reasonable breakfast. There was no one else around so i went round to the bar area and made a cup of tea. The only other person we saw was a cleaner. Just get the feeling the overnight stays are a new edition and there isn't a system in place to deal with it.

It was adequate. Room was ok but the walls are thin so could hear what our neighbours were saying and doing half the night. We didn’t use the towels in the end as they smelt dirty- although clearly they had been washed. All a bit mean... tiny amount of milk etc in the room. Not great value for money.

On arrival the welcome was nice. The room as a bit disappointing as it smelt of chip fat. Being above the kitchen (I guess) the smell came up through the floor. It was especially previlant when returning to our room at 10.30pm Disappointing the Netflix did not work Shower only got to warm/tepid no hot hot water available Breakfast was not available until 10pm so we had a cold continental breakfast @ 8.30. This was fair Overall a reasonable stay, however would not book again
