I really liked this place. The employees were helpful and friendly. They have a bonus nearby if you want to buy some food for the mornings or nights when everything is closed. They have kitchen to make food even when it is closed. The showers and bathrooms are separated from the actual bedrooms which is fine. I had a good experience.

Overall it was a great experience, we had everything we needed, the only downside was that the washing and drying was service where we thought it would be accessible to any guest. Other than that the beds were comfortable, the rooms we clean.

We were pleasantly surprised by our stay at Hotel Lyngás. The outside of the building is unassuming but the inside is immaculate and well kept. The kitchen and shared dining area were well kept. Our room size was smaller but more than enough for the two of us. There isn't necessarily someone at the front desk at all times but that wasn't an issue for us. All necessary information was provided to us at check-in. There are a few good restaurants nearby - all within walking distance.

The facility was clean and the key locks so we could arrive whenever we chose were great. The only problem was that the shower handle was cracked so it wouldn’t “stay”, which was challenging since there was no shower tray to put soap in.

Fantastic Quality and Value
This is a fantastic place to stay, especially if you’re on a budget. This is terrific value for the quality. The room we had was small but perfectly adequate, the shared bath, kitchen and common areas were great. I would recommend it without reservation and would stay again.

Great stay at Lyngas Guesthouse. We had a family room for 5 people and we were impressed with the property. It was very clean. Upstairs they had two showers for 8 rooms. The beds were comfortable. The shared kitchen was well stocked. Lots of food and restaurants nearby. We had the staff do a load of laundry ($24 USD) and it was delivered to our room the next morning. My only complaint is our room had a bank of windows which got really warm when the sun shined in, but the guesthouse gave us a fan which helped cool things a little. Overall, a great stay - Highly recommend.

Highly Recommend
The hotel was very nice and super clean and comfortable. The breakfast is wonderful as is the 24 hours coffee. The ladies working there were very professional, pleasant and helpful. The bathroom was updated and great water pressure. Parking is free right in front. I highly recommend!

Great service.
I loved the fact that you could be picked up from the airport. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms, and common areas, were in excellent condition. I didn’ have time to explore the local area, but it looked interesting.

Nice comfortable guesthouse. It's a bit of a cross between hotel and hostel, with shared bathrooms and kitchen, but everything was very clean and well maintained. Would recommend if you're stopping by in Egilsstadir.

The room was very roomy and the beds were extremely comfortable. The guesthouse was very clean and the amenities were great. There is a great diner and two gas stations immediately across the street so it was a great location. Would definitely recommend staying there if you are in the Egilsstadir area.
