5/5 Excellent
Great stay
"I had an amazing stay here. Located in a nice quiet but scenic location. My room was great I had my own separate spacious bathroom and a double bed room next door to it. The grounds of the hotel are green and you can see woodpeckers from the window. The breakfast options were great from a cooked breakfast to fresh fruit yoghurts and cereals. I also unexpectedly received daily housekeeping. The hotel is located within reasonable driving distance to nice beaches and attractions."

"Location is great. Breakfast at the Black Boy Inn is very good. Will be better even if the window and walls can be sound proof. The pub cross the road gets busy sometimes. And there is sound of engine all day and night humming sound heard, esp in the room facing high street. "
"I was on my own meeting up with friends for a seventieth birthday party. The room was inviting, very comfortable with everything I needed … thank you. Apologies if I got up too early … highly recommended. "

"This is a lovely place to stay. We were well looked after, my gluten free dietary needs were catered for and the staff were very accommodating.
The house is old so we expected that the rooms might be ‘quirky’ but we had a dangerous fault with our shower that could have resulted in serious scalding incident. We have informed the managers so they can deal with it.
Dinner was 5* as you’d expect in a place with a chef of this calibre - wine and port also excellent. Pricey, but not excessive.
Overall a lovely quiet and peaceful place to stay but close to local attractions and amenities if you want to travel to them ."
