Fresh comfy clean Millifont
My sis and I stayed at Millifont for 3 nights, in their en-suite double room, It had recently had new bathroom refit, comfy bed lovely fresh white bed linen, they supplied our towels also lovely fluffy white towels. We were allowed to keep our luggage in his room downstairs for hours after we had booked out, all in all a very pleasant stay. Other than the noise of the seagulls seemingly going all all night :-)

To start with man looked at us like we shouldn't be there when we arrived and was very sharp with how he spoke to us and then showed us to our room, which basically i wouldnt put my dogs to stay in, there were stains on bedding and the ensuite was not so ensuite was more of a cupboard with the ceiling falling down and also was a puddle on the floor the toilet systern looked like it was gonna fall down. Horrible nights sleep never again.

Overall the hotel was clean and the room was OK for the price. It was not very convenient that the toilet and the shower was outside the room. I had to leave the room in the middle of the night. There was no one on site to make inquiry if possible to upgrade the room foe extra pay, of course. It was very noisy the first night I stayed, someone was shouting and swearing. Again, no help from the staff.

Service was great, key was locked in a lock box as arrived after reception closed. However the bathroom had black mould on the ceiling and the toilet had a puddle of “water” around it..

Great place to stay for very cheap. It was clean and basic which is all we needed. Shared bathroom with a 2 other rooms but we didn’t see anyone and there is also a sink and mirror in the room. Great location in Hastings. Would recommend strongly.

Honest review of Millifont
Honestly not a bad hotel, it’s main focus is the location as it’s very close to many major attractions. The hotel room was ok, we only stayed a night and due to our small budget we didn’t have room to be fussy.

A room only stay with shared bathroom, however bathroom was opposite and felt like an en suite. Only share with two other rooms but felt like it was our own. Room was clean and comfortable and adequate for our needs. WiFi connection was a bit intermittent but resolved on request. Good location, walking distance to town and beach. W

Quality is about what you would expect. The room was clean. Good location. Despite the fact that it was not possible to close the windows it was absolutely boiling all night. Noisy. Shared bathroom had wet towels all over the floor. Check in and out was easy.

Very good value
Clean comfy and centrally located. As with most budget hotels you need earplugs for noises off, but we had no problems with that. Very pleasant and knowledgeable staff.

Cheap clean location near to beach and town centre
Clean basic room with coffee/tea and TV available. Shower/Toilet next door was clean and well stocked. Location is very close to the train station, town centre and the beach, so very convenient for getting around Hastings and the surrounding area ie Battle by train.

nice little budget place to stay, great location
I was pleased with my stay overall, make no mistake this is a budget hotel/guest house, but that is perfectly OK. The location is perfect being a 5 mins walk from both the train station and the beach. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was basic, but cosy.

Not the best but ok for the price.
Very small rooms. The beds were clean but not so much the rest of the room. Shared bathroom for each floor so make sure you take a dressing gown. Very close to everything in Hastings. Doesn't provide parking though there is a covered pay and display car park around the corner.

Parking outside (for a fee), 5 minutes walk to the station, 10 minutes walk to the Old town. Friendly owner, large room, comfortable bed, spacious clean en suite. This budget guesthouse was perfect for our one night stay visiting friends in Rye.

bed uncomfortable noise from road which was a short cut to station some noise could be shut out from bedroom window,but broken hinge in bathroom ,off suite bathroom was partitioned for other rooms intruded our on suite.no official fire doors which were just basic internal doors too many rooms crammed into space.Even though you paid the price felt if you were not welcome.

Fine for an overnight stay
This guesthouse is in a good location if you're in Hastings overnight and it's fine for the price. Nothing particularly special, but not bad either. Room was clean and attractive, although the bathroom was a bit "tired" and the towels could have been bigger! Nice lady welcomed us on Reception. Main issue we had was the noise - of the guests above us and the Sunday morning staff clattering about very noisily, VERY early in the morning. Having said that, we were on the ground floor so I guess it could have been the position of the room. Anyway, for a quick overnight stay when all you need is somewhere to lay your head, this is perfectly acceptable.

Need to learn to greet your guest warmly
When you arrive they should not treat you like you are going to steal from them. A warm welcome goes a long way. There should at least have a small fridge to keep your drinks and food. A common micro wave would have helped.

The room was modern and clean, however the walls were very thin which meant that I was kept awake by someone else watching TV in a room nearby all night. My room was also on the road which is still quite busy during the night so this also kept me awake and I therefore did not have a very good night's sleep. I was not at all impressed by the fact that they don't provide breakfast in this day and age given how much they are charging for the room. Most guest houses/B&Bs do! As I had a single room I had to use a communal toilet/shower, it was clean but not ideal.

I booked into this guest house as everywhere else was already fully booked. The rates were reasonable for the location which is about a 5 -10 min walk away from the seafront. However, it seems that the wonders have tried to cram too many rooms into one building. There are 3 floors and each floor has 3 rooms but in the 1st and 2nd floor the rooms are very close to each other and the walls very thin. I went with my Mum and we had young men staying next to us who werent very noisy and quite considerate bu because the room was so close etc it was incredibly loud. That and the windows are single glazed you can hear everything outside. I did NOT get a good sleep at all.
