The receptionist was willing to help me find information on many details: public transportation, uber, food, and some Croatian words. I enjoyed the dinners there twice during my stay. I especially liked the atmosphere of the outside sitting by the water and I love the "grilled veal cutlet" at a fairly good price.

Chose the property for basically a sleep stop for a morning flight out of Split. Wish I'd shown up earlier for the lively and cozy dinner/pub scene along the waterfront. Elevator=nice if you've spent the last week dragging a heavy bag up and down stairs everywhere else. Bad: Google maps navigation won't get you headed the right direction the first time. Free parking is street parking or the lot across the square, FYI. Cute and friendly place, very comfortable.

Tranquil and pretty riverside location with easy access by bus to Dubrovnik city centre. Well equipped and immaculately clean room. Very friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended.

Quiet convenient location.
Helpful and friendly staff. Enjoyable breakfast in a great setting. Buses very convenient to the walled city center but could get very crowded. Limited options for dining in vicinity of hotel.

The perfect place to stay for a few nights prior to boarding our yacht at the marina next door. Lovely rooms, terrace and people. Only criticism was being unable to make coffee or tea in our room. Otherwise excellent!!

Nice small hotel in a quiet neighborhood. We used bus to get to old town which is about 20-25 drive depending on traffic. Nice breakfast options with sitting area right by the water

Little hotel is awesome! After 24hrs of travel, we arrived at 930 pm. Staff was great, had a lovely dinner and the rooms are brand new. Couldn't have asked for nicer.

Pleasant but not difficult food service
Our stay at Vimbula was really pleasant and the check in went really well with a very friendly staff member who gave us lots of useful information which we were very thankful for. As a side note though, and something to maybe take on board for future guests, it would have been extremely beneficial to ask us upon check in if we wanted to reserve a table at the restaurant for the evening. We were unable to get a table and told to come back, and when we did come back there was a promise of a table for two, until a German family of 8 showed up and basically stole our table because there was clearly more money to be made with them. We were pretty much shoe’d away which made us not feel very welcome considering we were guests at the hotel and the the German family were not. As a whole though, the room was lovely and the views were beautiful. It’s just a shame we didn’t get the same friendly welcome for dinner as we got for check in. It was a case of too many chiefs and not enough Indians that night.

Quiet but deserted area, convenient bus stop
It was a nice stay overall (clean room, quiet area, good breakfast, good restaurant) but with a few minus points:thin walls between the rooms as you could hear everything from your neighbours and not the best location as it seemed deserted when we checked-in and very dark at night but it has a bus stop working until midnight very close to the hotel. You depend a lot on the bus as uber is not working well and Dubrovnik has a very expensive parking if you take the car. The hotel parking was very crowded as it was hard at night to find a place to park.

Staff was really nice aside from that, breakfast had flies all over it. The room had bugs all over and I kept waking up to being bitten. Bed was super uncomfortable. At least the AC worked. Stayed one night, thank goodness I didn’t book for longer.
