“Problems”

When I booked this hotel I chose it because parking in hotels in Dublin is notoriously a rip off. I searched on complimentary parking which to me infers free, so when I got there i was surprised and dissapointed to find a 6 euro charge had been applied, apparently the free parking is not applicable atthis Travelodge. The hotel were very helpful but insistent that the charge was payable as I could not provide any evidence, they indicated Expedia was out of date in this regard. The booking idciated free wifi but I could not see how this was accessed as the only information indicated it was chargeable. Hotel was basicbut clan and pleasant enough for what was only an en route stopover . But i owuld caution against assuming you will get the free parking that appears to be offered!

“Rathmines”

Although the Hotel was clean, and the staff helpful, I was disappointed that the hotel wasn't a bit more upscale, considering the price per night. For example, there were no little "extras" such as shampoo or conditioner - it was very basic. The beds were comfortable, but the pillows were very thin.

“Limited Choice in Rathmines and Ranelagh”

We stayed at the Travelodge as it was the only hotel of any size in the area. Travelodge is a name that we trust, having stayed at the Guildford travelodge only a few days earlier. This Travelodge is not up to the same standard and was the most expensive hotel we stayed at whilst in Dublin.

“The hotel for which the word 'grim' was invented”

This hotel is in an ugly, grey part of south Dublin and it is easily more than 20 minutes on the bus to the city centre. But, we didn't even stay there because the rooms and bathrooms (we were shown two rooms) were so dirty and past it and the mattresses were WW2 surplus, at best. Even at the low price you can get a room for, I would not recommend this to anyone. There is no 'value for money' here.

“Basic Motel”

This was your very basic motel. It was just what we expected. Nothing really great about it, and nothing really bad about it. Just be aware it is more of a motel and a hotel. It is about a mile walk from St Stephens Green. So it is a descent cheap place to stay and be able to walk to the touristy sites of Dublin.

“Hotel médiocre”

Nous trouvons inadmissible qu'un hotel 3* fasse payer 10 Euros de consigne de bagages parce que nous sommes arrivés à 11h30 au lieu de 15h00 . Trop de bruit et lit inconfortable.
