I'm struggling with the Excellent. The staff is among the most polite ever! They go above and beyond for you and is amazing how friendly and helpful they are. But, even though the rooms are good and they look clean, the carpets really need a change or a proper clean, also the walls are really thin and we saw a guy knocked in someone else door to shushed them off even though those people were only laughing (in my opinion they were normal). Besides that, the area is amazing, around the corner is the train station, and in the other corner is the bus from and to the airport. It was only those things, but even with the carpet, they were one of the best that I've stayed, for me it was the personnel that made a massive impact! and the main reason why they are excellent!

Good hotel, would stay again, few issues
It is such a lovely hotel, and I would definitely stay there again. The staff are lovely and the breakfast is delicious. They upgraded my room for free, as well as checking me in early for free as well. Only problems were my room wasn’t completely clean when I went in but I didn’t complain because I don’t care (only mentioning as someone else might). A couple of concerns though: on the second day the housekeeping team left my room door unlocked and later that day I came back to find my light turned on (when I had definitely turned it off) so I was a little worried as to why someone came in to my room without me knowing. Didn’t say anything as I was leaving the next day. Overall, would stay there again!

The hotel has parking available and is located 1/2 block from the train station and is 2 stops from central Dublin. The staff is very professional and accommodating. The free breakfast is cooked to order each morning and is delicious. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this hotel!!

A very quaint place. Feels like home. Rooms were pleasant and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great. Evening cocktails in the sitting room with free coffee and tea or a selection of liquors to choice from. Great area to visit and meet new people and there adventures. Highly recommend this place.

We very much enjoyed the location with lots of restaurants within walking distance for evening dining options. The staff,both for the wonderful morning breakfast and at the front desk, were extremely helpful and friendly. We also enjoyed the lounge area since we were a family of six. I would suggest being careful in booking the rooms. I mistakenly booked what I thought were family rooms, but in fact, were a double bed and a single bed in each room. We definitely felt somewhat cramped in the rooms.

We tried to cancel our stay due to travel issues and was denied. Our room did not have AC, dirty towel hanging in bathroom, stained carpet, open windows, noisy, water stained ceiling, peeling walls, and loud toilet. Requested early breakfast due to flight and was unavailable. Overall unhappy one night stay for a extremely overpriced room. We did receive a lengthy written apology without any monetary compensation offered for their poor service and room condition. We did contact Expedia but they were not helpful either with the cancellation.

Overall a good experience friendly staff, good location for local restaurants and a train 5 mins from hotel taking you to Dublin city centre. Breafast was hit and miss as far as service was concerned but on the plus side the food was excellent.

Loved the tea room to sit and have a glass of wine or coffee. Others can sit and meet you. Stories between guedrs often give you other ideas to do here in Dublin. I wish bathrooms were more up to date functionality and more quiet as to not hear bodily functions

Our first time to Dublin - great impression
In a great part of town, within walking distance of great pubs and restaurants. Recently refurbished, marvelous public sitting area, and we looked forward to breakfast each of our two evenings. Would stay again.

3.5 stars for me
The breakfast was very good. The staff pleasant. It was nice to have gluten free cereal and toast. The hotel is nice but we were in the area that is due to be refurbished. The room was OK. The bathroom though needs a rethink. The shower would have been OK if the head came out past the electric control. As it stood you have to squash in the corner against the hand rail and pushed against the controls and taps just to be able to get under the water. Plus, getting in and out (bath) to have a shower the gap was tiny between the sink and the bath. Far from ideal. This should be a walk in shower only. Plus, the fittings under the controls dripped all night. On our first day housekeeping didnt service the room, as we only got back at 1130pm bit late to do anything. Told reception and the following day fine all be it very late in the day.

Lovely cosy warm pleasant stay
We had a lovely stay.. our room was so cosy and homely. The bathroom was lovely. The place was decorated for Christmas and just had a lovely atmosphere., the staff were lovely and the breakfast was delicious. There was free tea coffee and cake available in the sitting room too all day which was a lovely extra. We were very happy with our stay.
