Wood-fired Hot-tub in quirky one bed holiday home

If you are looking for some R&R and peace and quiet, then look no further, Honey & Hive self-catering holiday cottages have you covered. We are a family-run business offering a modern peaceful getaway. Whether you're sitting in the hot tub listening to the owls on an evening, going on an adventure to enjoy one of the many rural walks in the area, or even enjoying a meal at our local community-owned pub, we are confident you will enjoy your stay with us and your escape to the country.
We are based in the quiet village of Rudston, the longest-occupied village in the country! We also have the oldest monolith in the world (2000AD) which is situated at the church. There are many circular works for taking dogs and the local pub does great food, it is a 5 min walk from the property. It is a short 15 min drive to the beach at Bridlington. There is a lot of wildlife around us, from birds of prey and owls in the evening to partridge and pheasants.

There are many walks in the area and lots of places to visit. We have 3 major cities within an hour's drive - Leeds, York and Hull.

The beach at Bridlington is a 15 min drive from the property as well as close proximity to Scarbrough, Filey and Whitby.
We offer a peaceful retreat from the busy world, and we expect our guests to treat our neighbours and us with respect and be considerate of other people when using the outside spaces - we are not a party house and we live on site.

We happily accept pets, we will accept 1 dog on the instant booking - if you are looking at bringing more please message us first. We don't allow puppies on the property and don't allow animals to be left on their own or on the furniture.
We will provide enough wood to ensure you can have a hot tub for every day of your stay. If you want to use the chiminea then you will need to bring your own logs or we will refill your log store for £10. We are happy for you to bring your own seasoned logs with you if you prefer. If you are looking to use the BBQ please bring your own charcoal - we have BBQ utensils.
Our village is surrounded by working farms and a working estate. There are flys, smells and animal noises.
Due to new fire legislation as of 1st October 2023, we can't allow deep fat fryers, e-bikes, e-scooters and candles on the premises.

The Best!
Great property close to the coast for dog walking on the beach.. The wood fired hot tub is awesome.. beats the jacuzzi style hands down. Laying in hot water with zero noise pollution and zero light pollution, bar the fairy lights, was so peaceful.. Very clean property equipped with everything we needed. Liam is a great host. Already checking dates for the next stay..

Excellent stay away.
What a wonderful cottage. Lots of room. Beautiful quirky but chic lounge with excellent taste in decor. The most comfortable bed we have ever slept in. Shower room fabulous. Hot tub fun to lie in and look at the stars. Absolute privacy. Greeted by Liam who also surprised us with a bottle of prosecco. Much appreciated. Would highly recommend this warm and inviting cottage. Can't wait to enjoy the experience again.
