Terrific last minute booking. Market right out the front door and walkable to and from Hauptbahnhof. Took up the breakfast option and the bakery items in particular straight from the oven. Easy checkin and so easy to walk around the main Altstadt area. Even though it was busy weekend in town the value for money was good. Room was really comfy.

At check in, I was not told of a nearby basement carpark but was pointed to another car park a ways away. After parking the the nearby basement carpark which I found by chance, it was a short walk over cobblestone courtyard to the hotel. Not good for luggage wheels. Getting up to my room, my cards did not work and had to go to the lobby to have them reprogrammed. The room was ok, not dirty but not very clean. The shower head didn't work on other settings. Pillows were lumpy. Only thing going for this hotel is its location.

Great location, walking distance to most main attractions. Staff supper friendly and helpful. I wouldn’t recommend the breakfast buffet as it has very few option for the price paid.

A clean comfortable hotel with an exceptional breakfast. Easy walk to the train station and Altstadt. Many tram lines within an easy walk.

Star G is in an excellent location. The Hotel is modern and very comfortable. You can walk from the train station to hotel; all the sites are within easy walking distance and the hotel is surrounded by very good restaurants.

The hotel is in a great location and very clean. The hotel is a great place to sleep and take a shower but there is no excitement in the hotel - quite boring. The entire staff including the manager need to go through a customer service training to improve.

A really nice hotel, on a big square on the edge of the old town. Check-in was easy and staff were friendly. The room was very spacious and clean, and had a very comfortable bed. There was a coffee machine with two pods included and a bottle of sparkling water. The hotel was very pleasant and good value, I would definitely stay here again if I was returning to Dresden.

Great hotel, but little bit outdated, no phones in the rooms so if u need something u need to go downstairs to front desk . People at front day are very helpful. great location, clean rooms, great breakfast.

Excellent location, right in front of the Christmas market. You can walk everywhere in this beautiful city. The hotel is old and with normal maintenance. What I don't understand is that the bathroom has no door, absolutely no privacy when you are showering. Incredible. Very uncomfortable, for this detail I would not recommend this hotel. Another important detail, the bells of a nearby church ring every day and at all hours. Unbearable. Parking is not on the property and not entirely convenient.

Very convenient for the Striezelmarket (Christmas Market). Hotel has character as well as being comfortable. The staff were hard working and very helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay.

Only downside is how to get from parking to the hotel. Also, no door in the shower is not convenient for a family trip, Overall though, a great experience.

It's on central of everything, staff speaks English and very quiet. They use coffee pods system so no kettle to make your own coffee or tea

this was a very nice hotel in a great area, overlooking the huge Christmas market. i was traveling alone and was nervous at first but there are a lot of people in the market and i felt totally safe walking around outside at night. it's next to a mall and there is a McD and kfc right next door, along with other eating places. front desk was awesome and rooms are very nice.

Right in front of the Christmas market. Walking distance to main attractions too. It is a 18 minute walk to Dresden Main Station but it’s a straight walk and I did it with my luggage, pretty flat and not the cobble stones. You can also take their cable train (yellow train) from main train station and from there walk like five minutes to hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel if you’re a tourist. I traveled with my boyfriend and he liked hotel as well.

OMG, the Christmas Markets is located right out the front door. Rooms are comfortable and very nice. Feels luxurious and the staff is also very nice. The breakfast was extensive and nice. Tons of things to do and see in walking distance.

This hotel cost all penny that you paid for it. And breakfast do good to loose it. Easy underground parking 50 meters from hotel. Staff is professional and friendly Rooms is clean and quiet. Walking distance for old Dresden. Highly recommend

Good hotel
New hotel right beside a Xmas markets. Parking is paid underneath the markets and was 20 euros per day. A long walk from car park to hotel The room was large for our family of 4 and comfortable beds but pillows terrible. There was no door for bathroom or shower so can be difficult if travelling with older children or just friends

Great hotel and they checked us in early which we appreciated. Great access for the Christmas Market. Only disappointing aspect was a rude cleaning staff when asked if they could come back to the room in a few minutes for services they said no. Crows were also loud on the roof top, but not the hotels fault. The property is in a great location for easy walking access to many places and we would happily stay there again.

Nice hotel, we had a lovely stay
Had a lovely stay at this hotel after a journey from hell due to Deutsche Bahn. The duty manager was lovely and we got a free room upgrade to one looking over the Altmarkt.

This hotel is in an excellent location for shopping and sightseeing the old town. If you value sleep, you might want to go somewhere else. The two churches rang their bells every 15 minutes starting at 6:00 am. At 7:00 am, one clock rang over 100 times (this was a Monday morning). Our room was very tiny with a terrible layout. I could open the sliding bathroom door from my bed and it was the only thing between where I slept and the toilet. No privacy at all. The parking is in a totally separate lot and is difficult to get to and costs 20€ per 24 hours. The big square that holds the Christmas market is directly in front and will be convenient. The staff was friendly and the hotel itself is pleasant. The Wi-Fi was not secure and could be accessed from the McDonalds next door. I don’t understand why they wouldn’t have a secure connection for guests. Do yourself a favour and make a reservation at Mama Mia’s Italian restaurant around the corner. It was the best meal we had in Dresden.

I'm not sure what VIP perk I was supposed to receive. It says one beverage per person. It wasn't mentioned at check-in, but we had two free Dallmayr coffee capsules in the room. I assumed that was it. It's close to everything. And very friendly staffs.
