It is what it is. This is an aging facility, slowly being upgraded. It is a solid 3.5 star resort complex. Our room was not well cleaned, there was hair in the shower and basin, and the floor was not clean. However, it is what it is. If you are looking for a good value stay, with restaurants onsite, and the ability to relax and enjoy time with family, or friends, Bartolomeo is the only property of its kind near Dnipro centre. It is on the river, staff are generally very friendly, and english is never an issue. Better attention needs to be paid to cleaning, and in winter, the heating in a room should be turned on in anticipation of the guests arriving.

Great room with amazing view to the river.
I stayed for 4 night and I really liked the room, I liked the location and the balcony and the hited floor. The resort amenities is not so great, no gym, no swimming pool but the river is nice and its very quiet and chill atmosphere.

Dissappointing experience, staff have all turned over, and new staff have soviet mentality, very little customer service, very little thought into their job which they need to be reminded is HOSPITALITY. This is a resort style hotel, amenities OK, old, in need of refurbishment, but good value for what it is. But if you want a stay where you are treated as a guest, find another hotel

rooms are not cleaned every day, the problem of washing clothes (the hotel does not operate laundry), the room has a faulty jacuzzi (deluxe rooms are more expensive with a jacuzzi), very poor service (if you ordering water you can wait one hour)

Was put in much smaller room then I had reserved, they did move me to a bigger room yet still not as big as reserved. Then when I was ready to check out was given a bill of, in American dollars, $157. Gotta pay it or you can’t leave the country. Also the pool was disgustingly dirty, no place on property to rent any watercraft. Not at all what was described and very disappointed. I don’t recommend this property Peace & Love

Good Resort but only during peak season
The room was not serviced for three days when I asked for clean towels. There were ants everywhere from the shower base to the dining room table. No thermostat to control the room temperature. Not as good quality and comfort as the smaller unit I stayed in last October. Not allowed to take videos at the resort, not even the river.

Whilst i have stayed many times at Bartolomeo, based on this experience alone i would not stay again. We had issue at check in, on a room which had been paid for via expedia,. and reception girl did not care less. i have stayed here perhaps 30-35 times in the past couple of years, but wont again in the foreseeable future. overall Bartolomeo is a good family style resort, but some staff have no idea what customer service and courtesy is, and when paying what they charge for this hotel in Ukraine, i expect a slightly better attitude then "its not my problem"

This hotel is not safe for guests! If you value your safety and the safety of you family and your belongings DO NOT STAY THERE! And don't expect and help from the staff as they only care about taking you money and not provide any help at all. It is too expensive and not worth the money either.

Dissappointing 3.5 star resort
I stay here a lot, on this occasion booking 4 rooms for celebration. Resort is well located, most staff happy and friendly, at a price. Resort ran out of water one day, so no water at the pool. I then went to rooms to bring water and was told I couldn't bring water to pool. After telling them I was, and they could go jump, staff didn't do anything more, but was very annoying. On check out reception tried all they could to not pay back our towel deposits, despite being given back deposit keys, but was eventually sorted. However, this was the end on a dissappointing trip. I will go back, as there is nothing better in Dnipro, but this hotel has slipped in the past 12 months. Desperately needs an upgrade in facility, and staff attitude.

Resort style hotel with no hot water
I have stayed here many many times, and this is the first huge issue I have had. I stayed at Bartolomeo on this trip for three days, for two of them we had no hot water, and no one seemed to care. When it was raised, reception promised to send a cleaner down, which I pointed out was pointless. They then offered for us to move rooms, but had to find a room with hot water I declined, as it was late and I had already been forced to have a cold shower. The next morning I had hot water, that night, none again. Again I contacted reception to be told they would have a look, again I had a cold shower. Upon leaving I asked Senior Management to contact me, three days later I have heard nothing. I won't stay at this report again until I have heard from someone offering an apology. There is plenty of other hotels in Dnipro that provide the two things I require. Hot water, and decent bed.

Depends on your reason for travel
I have stayed at this resort many times, and always enjoyed it. This trip i had an issue with my reservation, where only one room was reserved when i had ordered 2. The resort was the same as usual, service is 3.5-4 star, facilities are 4-4.5 star. Some staff great, some shouldnt even be employed. This is very similar to most hotel/resorts in Ukraine. However, this time a disco was held on the Friday and Saturday nights. I attended Friday with my guests, and the music was terrible, service was second rate, and i was dissappointed. Saturday night no one slept, as the noise from the disco prevented it until 4 am. Anyhow, if i was going looking for a good time, i would stay here again. But if i wanted a relaxing weekend with sleep, maybe not.

Always an interesting stay
I have stayed many times at Bartolomeo, and i will stay there again. i did have an experience this time which was less than acceptable, and i think it needs to be borne in mind if you are travelling as a family, or expecting a classy resort. The resort is well located, and staff well enough trained for a 4 star stay. The restaurants are average, overpriced, with 3 star service, but again the convenience of staying within the resort is a plus. However, on the Sunday night my partner and i booked a table for dinner with my wifes grandparents, and the evening was disgraceful. First we were attended by a girl who insisted we pay 100 UAH per male, and 80 UAH per female as there was a party on. we did, its not a lot of money, but the party entertwas disgusting. It was in fact a 50th party for a biker, and his club mates. There was the most disturbing, degrading, and absolutely disgraceful entertainment which saw virtually naked women, tied up, handcuffed, and whipped by a gimp. The audience was also encouragedto come and whip the girls. Apart from the fact it was not even entertaining, this sort of display is ok in a sleazy strip club, not at a 4 star resort. We left the dinner, and refused to return as we were so uncomfortable, and we were not the only people who were unimpressed. Management need Management needs to decide what market this resort wants to appeal to, at all times. When they do, perhaps they will have a reort that families, couples, and business people will love.

I was floored by how wonderful this Hotel was. It was very unique. I felt like I was in another world. This Hotel is a hidden jewel in the country of Ukraine. The restaurant menu was fantastic. The food was great. And having a great night club on the facility makes it so much better. I am definitely going to return to this Hotel yearly to capture again and again the experience I had.

My second home in Dnipropetovsk
Great chalet style resort. Rooms big, a bit dated but good value in winter. Restaurants ok, breakfast lacking in variety (add muesli and yoghurt), and service at breakfast is on request But, like much in ukraine it's good, just needs people to put in the effort.

I stayed overnight in a junior suite. These are chalet style apartments, a bit old and tired, but spacious and adequate. The resort has a reasonably good restaurant, service a little slow and inattentive, but in summer this place would transform I expect. It's a good alternative in Dnipropetovsk, I have now stayed here several times, and will stay again.

this is a cool resort. good food. natural setting. on first day had some issues with unclean sofa but called housekeeping and they took care of it. front desk and some of staff speak good English. overall a very enjoyable experience. if your tired of normal hi-rise type building motels and you like nature, then this is definitely a better choice.

a different kind of stay
I arrived a bit tired and confused. I had been in the city of Lviv, Ukraine and the stay in the hotel there, was quite relaxing. I wanted to rest and relax, once again. The day I arrived, it was a hot day. I had a choice of upgrading my room, at a higher price. I chose to stay at the lower priced room, because it was closer to the main part of the hotel and the restaurant. My room was hot, so, I put on the air conditioner. Too bad, I did not understand the mode and put on the heat, instead. I was sweating profusely, so, I went back to the reception desk. I asked about my room, perhaps, to change it. A man was sent to check out the room and the air conditioner. The problem was taken care of, but, it took a while to get the room to a comfortable temperature. I suggest that if it is a hot day and a room is reserved, that perhaps, the room's air conditioner is put on by one of the workers, as soon as the guest arrives. I would add that at this hotel, the people working at the reception desk, was always very helpful.
