Girlie night

Perfect little getaway for the night. Upgraded to a deluxe twin room with balcony looking over the golf course. Excellent customer service and care. A lovely evening meal enjoyed at the restaurant. Quiet, comfortable: an enjoyable experience.

Pleasant Surroundings

Posted 30-Jun-2014
Pros: The overall setting and the high quality of the interiors and food.
Cons: Possibly another member of staff on check out day.
Location: A great location with lots of quaint villages and places to go around.
I came to Woodbury Park as part of a Wedding party staying for 1 night. The Hotel surroundings were lovely and the breakfast was excellent. We were unable to use the facilities due to our own time commitments. The Wedding Venue and food served was also excellent. Checkout was very busy owing to the fact there was only 1 member of staff. The Receptionist however was extremely competent and quick to apologise for the delay. An overall delightful stay.

Golf break with swimming included.

Posted 30-Jun-2014
Pros: Golf course and setting
Cons: Main dining room
Location: Devon countryside. Nearby resorts of Sidmouth, Budleigh Exmouth.
Lovely golf course for the menfolk. Nice pool, if a bit small. Main dining room a disappointment in a rather dark inner courtyard. Much preferred the terrace bar overlooking the course. Food wholesome without being exceptional . Magnificent scenery all around.

Nice Hotel in a quiet country location

Posted 23-Jun-2014
I didn't take advantage of all the facilities available to visitors to this superb hotel I only stayed for one night and would not hesitate to return to this hotel in the future, the staff were extremely polite and helpful, we explained that we were touring Devon the staff were only too happy to suggest places that we should visit on our tour. Out thanks to all the staff we encountered

Descent Hotel with good facilities and nice surrounding area for walking and cycling etc but a bit remote from anywhere if you wanted local amenities? Food was good quality and service faultless. Beds a little tired and "soft" but just down to personnel preference I suppose? Hard to find if dark, so look at map first as Sat Nav's struggle ! Would stay again.

Nice hotel but a bit dated in some areas. Staff very good and helpful except in golf clubhouse restaurant, where they were useless! Spa and pool very good.

Good room, great facilities, excellent food

Posted 07-Feb-2014
Pros: The food, the View and the staff were all excellent
Cons: Given the poor phone signals in the area, I had no 3G on Vodafone or Orange, free Wi-Fi would make a real difference here
Location: It's on a golf course - views are amazing.
I only stopped one night for work, ate in the restaurant, drank (responsibly) in the bar and enjoyed the breakfast. The room was fine, lovely view over the gold course, TV was good, bed comfy and they included bottled water, biscuits and shower gel etc. Shower was fine, bathroom was clean. Although they have a full restaurant, I chose to eat from the smaller bar menu. The food was of a very high standard, I can easily understand how they won all the awards they have pinned up behind the reception desk. Service was very good. Breakfast was much the same, excellent quality food, well cooked. I didn't make use of the spa facilities, which were included in the room rate. Overall the standard was excellent and I would be more than happy to recommend.

Nothing special

The service was lukewarm. The food was average and the bed was uncomfortable. I could actually feel the springs. This hotel would suit those who are planning a golf trip with a big group of lads.
