Perfect!

Posted 02-Apr-2015
Pros: Clean. Modern. Tidy. Great facilities.
Cons: The receptionist was a bit snooty.
Location: Not too far from Exmouth and Exeter, so if you want to go into town you could.
Just what I was looking for. Very happy with my stay. Great facilities. Lovely sized pool. Food and drinks were a bit pricey but that was to be expected.

A countryside retreat

Posted 07-Mar-2015
Loved this place once I found it, shouldn't trust sat nav with the postcode. Lovely comfortable room, quiet overlooking the golf course. The meal I had in the Atrium restaurant was amazing, the wine too, and very reasonably priced, and beautifully presented. The ambience was lovely, soft lighting, candles, music, could not fault it. Just a pity I was on my own, as would be the ideal romantic retreat. Would visit again, and look forward to using the Spa Facilities next time!

Nice hotel with everything on site

Posted 17-Feb-2015
Pros: I liked the friendly and relaxing atmosphere. Even though this is a large hotel it felt very intimate ans peaceful.
Cons: Nothing as far as I could see on my short stay.
Location: The location situated high up on the common gave great views and felt nicely isolated.
My stay was very pleasant and relaxing. Nice clean room and great white crisp bed linen. The staff were very polite and helpful. Good food and breakfasts. I am not a golfer but having two courses on site made the setting with it's views very attractive. Having a spa and pool on site is always a plus.

Excellent value

Great value, excellent staff, very comfy & clean. Only minor quibble is the poor mobile connection. Would have been five stars except for that. But, being in the countryside makes up for it.

Great hotel, got everything you need. Very clean and comfy, friendly staff. Room service menu a bit limited but that's not really a problem. It's in a really lovely spot, great views from the club bar. It is in the middle of nowhere but very convenient for Exeter Airport (ten minute drive).

Woodbury Park is my regular stop over for trips down to Cornwall and Devon, hotel staff all friendly and service/food in the Terrace Bar really good once again. Spa and Leisure facilities a bonus!

One Error

Posted 20-Nov-2014 on Hotels.com
An excellent hotel which was let down by one incident. While checking out the girl on reception took a phone call, paused for around 20 seconds and went back to the call say the person they are looking for was not available that day. The impression this gave me was the caller being fobbed off.

One night only

Posted 14-Oct-2014
Pros: Near our friends.
Cons: Lighting in the room. Canopy over bed with side hangings blocking the bedside lamps making reading in bed difficult.
We were visiting friends in the area. Only stayed one night. Good breakfast.

Quiet stay

Posted 27-Sep-2014 on Hotels.com
The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff very courteous. I used the gym and it had all the equipment needed for a thorough workout, only it was very busy in there. Pool was in good use but never used it. Extremeny quiet there, no noise in the corridor at night and the restaurant and bar area also quiet too. Almost lacking in atmosphere in the evening. Perhaps there were few guests the night I stayed. Food was excellent. I ate in the bar and had a huge mixed grill of good quality meat. Real ale on the pump at the bar too. Good selection for breakfast. Never had hot trad breakafast after the meat from the night before. But there was a good selection of cereal and yoghurt and coffe was also decent. I would stay here again
