Great stay , lovely to meet Jackie & Nick really looked after us & made our weekend away very special
Good size room & nice facilities, hot tub in the garden is a great bonus
Will definitely stay again
Thanks again
Friendly and welcoming owner and staff, covid conscious and well located for beach and town. Parking on site limited but also available free on road outside.
Superb boutique hotel with good facilities within walking distance of Torquay town centre. Luxurious public rooms and well-appointed bedroom. Service was excellent, as was the breakfast.

The service was amazing, all staff vety friendly and attentive. Best hotel breakfast I've had in a long time! And the pook/hot tub are a gret facility to have! Short walk into the town with easy parking.
What a fabulous stay we had here. The owners made us feel so welcome and the hotel has character and the room was comfy and spotless. The breakfast was also v impressive with a range of juices and lovely yogurt and fruit as well as your usual cooked breakfast (gluten free toast available too!)
If we are back in Torquay we would definitely stay here again! Almost forgot the bar is cosy with comfy chairs and bar stools and a great range of local and popular gins!
Absolutely brilliant place to stay the family could not do enough for any of their guests. Our room was very clean and the bed was so comfortable we had a great night sleep. Tea and coffee making facilities in our room which was great also their was a well stocked bar I loved the bay cider. It was really good having a swimming pool and jacuzzi to sit around and relax on a hot day like we did. The breakfast is amazing theirs a menu to choose from and also a buffet with fresh fruit and cereals and yogurt. The hotel is 10 minutes walk from the town centre down one road.Jackie Nick and Pippa are great host we loved staying there so much we have booked to go back in 5 weeks time and we can not wait.

Thank-you for your lovely review, we look forward to seeing you again!
Enjoyed it very much could have done with a bigger room and bed but overall very good good friendly and helpful staff and breakfast was very good with a lot of choice
Very enjoyable stay. Jackie, Pippa and Nick were all excellent hosts and loved having the bar/ lounge for drinks. Would recommend to all. Enjoyed Orange Tree restaurant and Hole in the Wall pub. Had a delightful tea in Paignton at
Palace Hotel and Spa, scones were superb.
Beautiful heritage house with wonderful hosts, delicious food, in a great location. We really want a reason to return and experience it all over again.
Our stay was most enjoyable. The proprietors treated us as friends and not just as guests.
The food was spot-on and the delightful bar provided a welcome night-cap.

A truly incredible stay! Nothing was too much trouble for owners jacke, nick & pippa! Breakfast was delicious, rooms were amazingly clean and comfortable. The antique furniture really makes the hotel stand out! We particularly enjoyed the bars collection of craft gins before going out and exploring torquay! We will definitely be staying again! Thank you for making our stay!

Thank you so much for your kind review. It was lovely meeting you and we are glad you enjoyed your stay.
We really enjoyed our short stay at The Marstan Hotel, Torquay. Friendly owners, well appointed, comfortable and spotlessly clean room, delicious breakfast, good price all added up to a great experience.
As soon as we arrived we were made to feel very welcome. Breakfast was plenty and Craig’s granola was to die for. Our room was very comfortable with good decent fluffy towels in the bathroom. We chose not to drive and the uphill walk was too much for me so we always had to have a taxi as buses stopped at around 5pm and were one an hour. But recommendation definitely. A perfect long weekend.
We decided to visit Torbay only a couple of days before we travelled. We came across this small hotel on Hotels.com and decided to book it. What a great choice. From arriving on Monday to departure on Saturday our stay was perfect.
Our stay at the Marstan Hotel was amazing! Ian and Craig are the perfect hosts and couldn’t be more helpful. The room was great with everything you need and the building is very clean and beautiful. It’s in a lovely area of Torquay just minutes from the harbour. The breakfast cooked by Craig was excellent with great quality locally sourced ingredients. We will definitely be going back again!

The hotel was very clean and hosted by Ian amazingly.
The hotel was sited very close to meadfoot beach and only a 8-10 minute walk down the hill to the town.
Would definitely return and recommend to all
Absolutely wonderful stay, I chose The Marstan to celebrate my Wife's 60th birthday & glad we found it, the owners Ian & Craig are the perfect hosts, lovely clean room, en-suite bathroom etc.

Thank you so much for your kind comments. It was a pleasure to meet you.
we had a lovely stay, the service was great and the place really nice. breakfast was very yummy and Harvey the dog was a darling. the only thing we would have preferred differently was the shower / water pressure was not great and my husband wasn't able to have a shower on the second morning as we had no hot water. Other than that, a great place.

Thank you for your kind review. We apologise for the issues with water. It was new years day, and I think everyone wanted a late breakfast so showered at once, which overwhelmed the plumbing. Normally we do not get major issues with water pressure. Thank you again for your kind review. We hope you'll be back soon.
good comfortable stay, only drawback on top of a big hill, but top class staff and hotel they go that extra mile, will come back with my family soon , thanks again .
This hotel is very quiet and Relaxing and located reasonably close to town. Did not hear other guests at all except at breakfast which is made freshly to order. The rooms are furnished with antiques and provided a good place recuperate after enduring a Bank Holiday weekend in Torquay.
Well appointed rooms with good facilities and modern bathroom.
Breakfast catered for all tastes with home made granola, fresh fruit, European and Full English freshly cooked to order; the staff will even provide special dietary need, if advised early.
We received a warm welcome (including a cup of tea!)from Craig (one of the owners) on arrival, who informed us of places of interest we might like to visit whilst in Torquay. He was very knowledgeable about the surrounding area.
The hotel is situated up a slightly high incline but there is public transport available or the local taxi firm which is reasonably priced.
We had a compact double room which was very comfortable and a fab bathroom with beautiful black and white tiled floor. There was a huge walk-in shower unit (power shower)which was wonderful.
The room was serviced daily and to a high level.
Breakfast was served in a calm and pleasant art deco style dining area with authentic 1920's/30's decor and the waiting staff were very friendly, polite and attentive.
There was plenty of fresh fruit, juices and cereal available, including the hotel's own granola mix which was particularly tasty!
The traditional English breakfast was cooked to perfection-compliments to the chef!
We would definitely visit again.
Lovely guest house, beds comfortable and nice ensuite. Owner was very pleasant. Breakfast had great variety from yogurt, fruit, cereal to a full english breakfast.
Our hosts Craig and Ian are great. They make you feel very welcome and part of a family. There is a good choice at breakfast, which is cooked to order. Nothing was too much trouble. Their staff were also very friendly.
