“Best place to stay in Plymouth”
I really like this hotel. We have stayed here a couple times now for visiting the Plymouth pavillons to see shows, this time we stayed for a night as it was my boyfriends birthday. It was nice because I accidentally booked the wrong date and phoned up the hotel to ask if I could change it - they didn't even batt an eyelid over it and were so accommodating (even though the booking said no changes allowed). The hotel is well placed opposite the pavillions and a short walk into town. There are good views out the window depending on what room you get. Ours overlooked the city and the sea. I think the most interesting part of the hotel is it's history and it's one of the only surviving the blitz, so don't go here if you want up to date decor and all the mod cons, because it is meant to be old and full of character. The lift is amazing! So small. Overall I would recommend this hotel for the friendly staff, location and the interesting character.
