The bathroom was especially dirty!!! No toilet paper. None! I was not at all pleased. 😢 I would not ask for a refund. But I’d appreciate a voucher or a certificate for the next complimentary visit. Please? Thank you.

Not sure that anything was unique. Room was clean as was the building. The hot tub was closed. Not sure if this is an unusual situation or the normal. So often now I choose a hotel for having a hot tub or other amenity which is no longer in use.

We enjoyed our jetted tub suite!! We also loved having the fireplace!! The pool and hot tub area had a few wild kids though that were pretty loud. So we enjoyed our jetted tub in our suite!!

The main issue upon check in was that an employee didn’t think of the consequences of closing the pool & sauna. After my initial review, the pool & sauna did open but the pool was chilly. Still no hot tub.

Nice rooms, clean and large. Heat didnt work in first room. Second room was around 65 degrees and took well over an hour to warm up. Morning front desk said they would check on it.

Good place to stay in Detroit Lakes-not new, but well maintained and kept up to date. Staff were friendly and helpful, and our kids loved the pool!

The hot tub was very cold! One of the reasons i picked this place was because they had a hot tub. The guy doing our check in was not very personable. Seemed to be "bothered" when anyone was asking for help or for change to play the pool table or claw machines.They needed my license plate number for their paperwork after saying I'm parked in the handicap parking and i have knee and hip issues they put me in a room on the 2nd floor.I asked where the elevator is and he said we only have stairs.OK,fine i can make this work l,i thought,but then i get to my room and the keys don't work so back down the stairs i had to go to get them fixed.The next day i left for a few hours came back around 1pm, went to my room and my keys didn't work again! So back down the stairs i go again. This time they checked someone else out wrong and my keys/ room were part of that issue. Completely horrible and ridiculous that there isn't an elevator if you're going to put people on the 2nd floor if they have handicaps. Feedback options above won't let me select "other" to enter in other issue like the key problems, the hot tub problems, the very few(usually only 2 to 4 if any)to no pool towels were placed on the towel rack for people to use.The room itself was super cold, heater was set to off and read 60° room temperature, if you know you're renting that room out at least turn the heat on in the winter.Upon check out,I explained everything the manager and he had no idea the hot tub wasn't working.

We booked this hotel for the sole purpose of using the pool and spa amenities. The pool area was cold, the hot tub was not working properly, the sauna was out of order. The fire alarm went off twice in our room early in the morning. The staff could have warned us at check in as they had been having issues with the alarm system prior to our arrival. The heater in our room didn’t work properly, it was too hot even set at 68. If we were to shut it off it got too cold. There wasn’t an ”auto” option for the fan or we would have tried to use that. The only good thing during our stay was the breakfast. We did end up leaving a day early and will be requesting a partial refund.

I have always enjoyed staying at this hotel when it was under previous ownership. The new ownership is not as accommodating. Absolutely no early check-ins, unless you want to pay an extra fee. If you stay more than 2 nights/3 days, they do not come in to change out laundry/towels, etc. I stay at a hotel to be waiting on... not to have to go to front desk to ask for things like new towels or whatever. I was not happy with my upgrade, which needs a better description of what the room contains and how it is laid out. I upgraded to a suite with a king bed, couch and hot tub and it was CRAMPED. TV is off to the side of bed, so you have to turn your head. Should be straight out from bed when you lie in it.

I was quite surprised to see the set up of the room with the living area and tv along with a nice mini fridge and microwave. I was concerned when the attendant I spoke to about the heating issue had not taken care of it however when we returned, the new attendant got it working for us.

Nice place for a weekend stay. Unfortunately the hot tub was not heated and the rooms were dusty. Was a bit surprised that almost every corner on the walls in The room and building were missing chunks of the wall. Looks a bit tacky for a nice hotel. The breakfast they had was amazing!

The property was clean, quiet. The kids loved the pool, and sauna. The hot tub was not working when we were there, but not a big deal. Breakfast was a big hit with everybody. Would recommend staying here. My only concern is they charge a fee for checking in early. Never heard of that before.

Conner was gracious and friendly, room very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic, beyond our expectations. Hot food, fruit, juice, fresh waffles, bagels, biscuits and gravy, etc. We would definitely stay again!!

This was a nice stay for the Duck Beardsley run in September. Service staff were friendly and the pool area clean. The pool table was the best. I suggest replacing the Ms. Pac-Man arcade game as soon as possible with Frogger or Mortal Combat.

Room 106 may have been recently shampooed as the carpeting was very damp. Other than that our stay was good. Breakfast is bare bones which is typical of this chain. Under staffed, who isn’t? Felt for the one lady as we saw her both mornings as well as the evening between.

Absolutely the worst hotel stay experience in my life. I’ve stayed in hundreds of properties across the world from the most lavish resorts to 2 star small town properties like this, and never felt compelled to write a review, good or bad, until I came across this atrocity. This place should be shut down until new staff is hired and health and safety protocols are reviewed. I walked into the completely empty property to check in, only to be looked at up and down by the rudest person I’ve ever come across in the hotel or service industry industry. He was shocked to see a person entering the property and yelled that check in is not until 3 pm. I was completely aware of that. I politely asked if he could check me in as all rooms were empty and available, even for an additional fee. He only snapped back at me that he knows none of the rooms are clean. Was told manager will not be available for 6 days. In terms of the room itself, hair shavings were left over in the bathroom sink. The jetted tub had dirt and remnants of what appeared to be food pieces in it. My room was never serviced or cleaned during the 4 days I was there. The breakfast on offer was not only inedible but also spoiled. Pancake batter was separated into water and goo and rotten. Orange juice was water resembling urine. This place is an absolute nightmare. Stay away! For reference, I have stayed at this exact same brand and property in Wisconsin a week ago, and it was a pleasure and without a single complaint.

The property “overbooked” and despite paying extra for upgraded rooms, we did not get the rooms we paid for. Staff stated they were sorry but could do nothing and did not refund any over the inflated price.
