“Great alternative when attending a REN CEN event”
I stayed with my two boys while attending an event at the Ren Center. They kids enjoyed the pool and the all night vending area. So easy to get to everything and without all the wait and crowds of other downtown hotels. Highly recommend.
“Good for big groups”
I stayed here with a bunch of friends for an anime convention across the street. The hotel staff were really nice, even though we had packed the room with people. The rooms are big and worth the price -- and the cafe and shops available in the complex are a nice plus.
“good location”
Detroit is an interesting place. This hotel is in a safe area, but be careful if you venture too far off the beaten path. I am rooting for them to renew their city as it has great historical buildings.
“Great deal, great location”
Stayed overnight for a Tiger game, the hotel was very conveniently located to Comerica Park (and Ford Field), just a few minutes' walk away. Right accross the street was the Renaissance Center, Hart Plaza, Old Mariners Church, Joe Louis Arena, Cobo Hall and, the tunnel to Canada. There was a $20 valet parking fee which was actually a convenience to not have to worry about parking for the stay or at the stadium. The hotel was clean and neat and extremely comfortable. I would stay again and recommend to anyone.
“Business only”
This is a nice hotel. Utilize the valet parking. The weakness is the bar and resturant. The bar is poor and the resturant food is like a Denny's quality. Walk across the street to the Marriot in the GM HQ for a really nice cocktail lounge and resturant.. Nothing else for miles unless you like casinos.
“Downtown Detroit's Best Value”
Excellent value! The Hotel as well as the People Mover are located in the Millendar Center which makes it very convenient to hit all the sports arenas or casinos.
“Baseball trip”
The only thing bad I have to say about this hotel is that we were in a room right by the elevator. We were told this when we checked in. We could hear the elevator all night long. But we were able to get some sleep anyway after we got used to the sound. The main thing was that the furnace in the room would click on and off with a bang and would wake you up, That really needs fixing.
“Deinitely staying here again!!!”
I came to the D for the Lions home opener against the Eagles and to catc a couple Tigers games as well. Super friendly and helpful staff, everything was very clean, the room was big and very nice. This hotel is within walking distance to either Ford Field or Comerica Park. Anywhere else you need to go is a short cab ride away. Location is great, very safe area, lots of security at night. Its a very safe part of downtown. I plan on coming back next year for the Lions home opener and will definitely stay here again. The breakfast buffet is good and the couple dinners I had were very good as well. This was hands down a 5 out of 5!
“Detroit Courtyard”
A business oriented hotel that would be a great urban getaway for hanging out in downtown detroit.
“not a good stay”
Due to a power ouage our room was not cleaned. The next day it was not cleaned. Made several request before our room was cleaned. The hotel does not seem to be equipped to handle large capacities. I was there for a family reunion. There was a festival across the street. The valet parking was very bad. Expect to wait 30 minutes to an hour to get your car. It cost too much to not have prompt service.
