"There is a building site across the road from La Maison Hibiscus. There are a lot of dogs in the immediate vicinity who bark noisily for extended periods. The windows don't shut properly because the metal bars on the inside block the handles from being moved to the closed position. The hot water tank is very small resulting in all but the briefest of showers running cold. The air conditioning was ineffective, blowing warm air. Even when left on overnight it did not get within 5 degrees Celsius...

There was no view but it was nice to sit out there and I enjoyed watching several geckos on the ceiling. Decorative touches included making the bed with folds and folding the toilet paper roll. "L’scale Marina and Resort was a wonderful understated property just across from Eden Island in Mahe. Though apparently the property is over 3 yrs old, it feels as if it’s brand new. It is a small boutique resort on the marina, with a pool, resturant, and lovely spa. Rooms are comfortable and clean, staff was courteous and helpful. Very quiet and in walking distance of small mall on Eden Island. Highly recommend,"
