The Best Hotel!!!

Posted 29-Mar-2015
The hotel staff were so hospitable without being intrusive. The hotel was beautifully decorated, bed was quite comfortable and both restaurants were excellent. It is high on my list of places to return to again and again.

Grat location

We stayed specifically to visit Chatsworth so this was the perfect location, just a 20 minute walk directly from the hotel grounds. Room was very comfortable with lovely view across the estate and well supplied, plus reliable wifi. The restaurant is expensive but there are plenty of alternatives locally. However, £9.70 for a very average, limited continental breakfast selection is over the top and the 5% service charge on the whole bill is an unwelcome addition.

Very nice hotel

We had a lovely stay at the Cavendish Hotel. The Hotels location is fantastic for Chatsworth being only a short walk through the Chatsworth Estate. Our room was beautiful (one of the superior inn rooms) and very clean. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly. The restaurant staff also offered good service but we did feel a little ignored on occasions, expecially after dinner in the bar, as we had to ask reception to hunt down a member of the bar staff to serve us. All in all though, a really lovely stay and we will be back.

Nice Location

Posted 05-Jun-2014
Pros: We liked the location and the comfort of the room.
Cons: Include breakfast with the price of the room.
Location: We visited Haddon and Hardwick Halls, both worth seeing but see Hardwick if you only have time for one.
We enjoyed our night in the Cavendish Hotel and it was great to be able to walk over to Chatsworth. The staff were very pleasant and our young waiter was very entertaining.
