Great for a budget stay, expect a place to sleep that is quite outdated. Most guests are shift workers so prepare for the night owls to be up and about if you’re a light sleeper.

Some things like lamp and coffee maker were unplugged and I couldn’t access the plug but I’m sure if I asked they would have fixed that. The daily breakfast was generous and very good, as was the cyst service both at the front desk and the restaurant

Older hotel, but well kept and clean. Had a last minute special request, that the staff was quickly able to accommodate. Full hot breakfast included, that I was able to enjoy in my room. Excellent experience. Would definitely stay again. :)

Amazing staffs, i might go back just because of the great staffs. I don't like that there's no breakfast buffet. I love that there's always fruits and drinks near the reception.

I booked and paid for a room that sleeps six for relatives coming from Ottawa to Dawson for a short reunion. Asked for a fridge for 8-month baby was traveling with them. Room was given away after I confirmed three times with them myself by phone. Gave us a King room and a double queen to accommodate us after stressing us out and wasting our time for at least 1hr said we could have the rooms for three days. we accepted. Next morning manager came to say that they had to charge us for the second room. I said no I paid for a large room for 6 people and I want that, they said you can't have six in a room only four are allowed. I said NO! on Expedia it says sleeps 6 and that's what I paid for! They wanted us out of the second room now and I said no we are going to church and have a reunion right after it's not possible. we left for church, I got many calls and a message saying they were going to move their stuff now to the original room that so happened to just free itself up. My relatives said no they would come move stuff themselves and left after the service to switch rooms. The front desk management was very nice to deal with she was caught in the middle between Greed of the owner and us. She offered free sodas, chips and something about discounts on alcohol & breakfast. We declined all except for the breakfast as that is another story on its own. room had broken fridge & detector. if u like stress book here.

A nice hotel. We always stay here when visiting Dawson Creek. Hotel is old but very comfortable. The breakfast is amazing as it is hot and you get several choices to choose from. Staff are very welcoming.

I apologize that you did not have a good stay, and that you did not feel safe I will look in to the staff not wearing masks as you have stated, as we have instilled this policy and are very compliant as per worksafe BC protocols. We are doing extra cleaning in the rooms and throughout the hotel everyday. Reception at this time, does not wear masks while they are behind the plexi glass as this in not required at this time, however they are required to wear them anytime they are out of this area. We do have one waitress who is medically exempt( with a doctors note) from wearing a mask, so I am thinking this may have been your waitress. I will have a one on one meeting with every staff member again and go over the Worksafe Plan we have instilled in the hotel to ensure they understand the plan 100%. Thank You for your feedback

Best breakfast in Dawson.
Rooms are large and spacious. Amenities are good. Beds are comfortable and bathrooms a good size. The shining jewel is the free restaurant breakfast in the morning. This isn't just your typical continental breakfast, this is the real deal. Customized to your liking. I will be staying here from now on for work!

There was nothing I was unhappy with. The pictures don’t do it justice I was expecting something worse but the room was actually very nice and clean and the bathroom was in perfect condition! Not a single stain in sight. The breakfast was amazing! Huge plates of food and delicious! I’ve been traveling from Florida to Alaska and this hotel was by far my favorite! Great friendly staff, room in great condition, I have nothing to complain about. I had a great nights stay at the George Dawson inn!
