Plenty of room
Perfect for what I needed, room was big, bed was big, fridge was big. Secure property and perfect location on Mitchell Street with walking access to all that was required. Awesome value for money and having free foxtel was a pleasant surprise/bonus. All in all, way better than I expected.

Good value
The lady running Capitanos was very friendly and helpful. Truthfully I booked Capitanos solely based on the lower price and good reviews. It’s a basic room in a concrete block for a relatively high price, but everything in Darwin was super expensive at the time and I felt I got good value. The bedding was clean and comfortable. The air conditioning and shower worked fine. There was a good fridge in the room. The location is just a bit further from everything than you’d want, but overall the location was okay. We went to the Mindil Beach Sunset Market and the Convention Centre area, both of which were about 10-15 minutes scooter ride from Capitanos. We didn’t use the pool or laundry but they both looked nice.

Great Location on Mitchell Street
Great location, handy to central Darwin. Leanne and Paul are awesome hosts. We had an issue with TV/Internet, they couldn't sort so moved us to another room.

The accommodation was nice, comfortable & compact. Would not be suitable for all as it is 2 story & no lifts. Staff were really helpful & friendly.

Stayed for a week and really enjoyed ourselves. Retro style hotel with recent refurbishment in the heart of Darwin CBD. Liked the nautical theme of the pool. Very secure. You are in a two-storey building amongst the tall hotels around, but just one-block back from the Esplanade park where there are great views over the harbour. Friendly and helpful staff - thank you!

The property was exactly as described on the website. The reception staff were very friendly and accommodating. The property is double storey so if you struggle to get a heavy bag up two flights of steps it would be advisable to ask for a ground floor room when booking.

Aircon and pool were brilliant. Once I worked out how to work the tv, so was that. Easy access in and out. Was able to park each night with no issues. Things that might need to be looked into: kitchen blind in my room did not work - cord not attached?, could not use credit card to access the vending machine on 3 seperate occasions.

Comfortable convenience
Close to the centre of Darwin, so easy to wander around the city on foot. Also, easy access to main roads if you want explore Darwin and surrounding areas by car. Manage was friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and clean. Kitchenette had a microwave, toaster, jug and a good size fridge. Bathroom ok, but showing its age. Need to supply your own shampoo, conditioner and hairdryer.

Hi Eriko, on arrival you were given a welcome letter. We do not service the rooms daily. On day 3 you were givenfresh towels. To be honest we could not clean your room as you had clothes all over the beds and we cannot make beds if you have personal items on them. We did have trouble with your TV but it has now been fixed and you told me not to worry about it as you were leaving the next day and you would use your tablets.

Location was convenient and was quieter than I might of expected given it's proximity to the CBD and hotels. It was clean and had basic facilities that were sufficient for my needs. The reception closed early than expected so I had a late check in but I had been contacted with instructions so that was OK. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Very noisy - I wont go back because there were noisy guests and that went on for 1.5 hours. When I went out the next morning I was quizzed if it was me that had the party - not impressed! Room was very basic. Room facilities were good

Hello Gayle, you were not quizzed about the noise. I actually asked you where the noise was coming from. Unfortunately we had some guests come home late after a night out and were noisy but our caretaker made sure they went to bed. Sorry for your experience but the hotel is generally very quiet.

Had a great stay,people were very friendly and the rooms were clean. Enjoyed the pool area to cool off. My only area of concern was that there was nowhere to go that was cool and you could relax. there were only 2 options ,in your room or in the pool.

My early check in was great. It is annoying that every time you shutdown your computer or walk out of the room with your phone, it doesn’t restart WiFi automatically when you come back.

Pleasant stay
It was a pleasant stay for me. Staff was friendly and welcoming. The room was nice and clean, bed was comfortable and there was a small kitchenette. It also had a laundry facility at the premises as well and limited on-site parking, however, across the road parking is available.
