“convenient for M6 and Lancaster”

Hotel is OK, gym and pool were good and very handy for the cycle path along the Lune if you want to run outside. I'm surprised they charge for internet access, and I would definitely askfor a room at the back of the building another time as I found the traffic noise excessive even during a Monday night.

“Quality accommodation in Lancaster at reasonable price.”

The Hotel is spacious, rooms are big and comfortable, have a great view and the service is good. Indoor pool is a real plus in the cold climate. And a gym for the health freaks. Breakfast is okay. I did not have anything to complain about.

“Have dogs? then book in at the Lancaster Holiday Inn hotel, best provision for you and your pet.”

One of the best hotels we have stayed in with high stars that accomodate dogs. Never knew holiday Inn took pets on and that too at no extra cost. Fantastic hotel with great facilities and very convienient for all. We booked double room which was huge for us (2 adults) and 2 labradoures. Room was well located away from noise and sounds for our dogs benefit and for other guests in the hotel a sign of a dog hung over our doot handle, saying dog staying in room. Room was big enough for all and very comfortable. Staff were very helpful and did not freak out at the sign of a dog in the room.

Lake district worth a trip, only an hour away.

Avoid takeaway near one way system, not too sure as we both suffered that night. Best to get food delivered in room from hotel, bit dear but worth the unnecessary tum upset.

“Holiday Inn Lancaster”

A clean pleasant hotel. We ate in on our first evening. The service was excellent but the food poor. Not value for money. We ate out thereafter.

“Hotel was great.”

This hotel was great. The staff was very friendly. Nothing to do within walking distance but it made a great stopping point for our trip around England.

“Fantastic Value for Money”

Having stayed at another hotel the week before, for exactly the same price, I have to say that the Holiday Inn really impressed. It has a relaxed feel about it yet the staff were helpful, the hotel was clean and the room was a good size with plenty of creature comforts on tap. The only criticisms are that the room's lights had odd switching states (all or nothing), and there were a bunch of untidy cables under the TV/Internet point which might be a concern. Otherwise the hotel was very child friendly especially the pool. Speedos not required! Breakfast was also good. The hotel is easy to find and only a couple of minutes from the M6. They had even opened up the sofa bed and made it up for my little girl to sleep on!

Traveller's tip

Great choice for families since the pool is open to kids without restriction - just watch the jacuzzi which is hot, and supervise your kids since there is no lifeguard.
