I was charged more than Expedia promised. My room was overlooking a very busy street and three of the eight nights incredibly loud music from a club blared into my room until 3 am. The staff was mostly friendly but Spanish is a necessity. I loved the room, bed was very comfortable, and the deck overlooking the Rio Tomabamba was my favorite place in the City.

Spectacular architecture, central location
This is the most spectacular architectural hostel I’ve ever stayed in. It’s a piece of art and if you like beautiful buildings and impressive architecture, this place is a must visit. Our room was facing the street and we stayed over the weekend, so it was a bit loud but a good pair of earplugs would do the job. There were USB plugs near the bed and the mattress was comfortable. There was hot water in the shower. Actually, there was almost no cold water which was strange. There was a hairdryer as well. We spotter two huge cockroaches on the balcony but luckily not on the room. All the staff was very friendly, nice and helpful. Breakfast was fine but definitely not amazing. Unfortunately, only American coffee was included to the prepaid breakfast, so to get a good coffee, we had to pay extra. The only thing I didn’t like was the common kitchen. It looked disgusting. Like REALLY disgusting. Unfortunately, the guests didn’t help keeping the place clean either. To my surprise, there was no kettle to warm some water. There was a nice big terrace too. It might be good to cover the cushions when it rains, so people can actually use the sitting area when it stops raining.

This is a weird "hotel." I don't actually consider it a hotel. I consider it a hostel. But it's not only a hostel, there's a co-working space as well, a movie theater, and a party room/space. I think it's trying to be too much at once. I was disappointed that when I got there, I didn't even have toilet paper in my room! (Very quickly remedied by the staff there though, so that's a good thing.) Bring your own toilet paper, your own soap, your own shampoo, conditioner and don't forget to pack your hair dryer. You will also need towels. It is also *not* accessible to wheelchair users. It doesn't have an elevator and the breakfast area was three floors down from my room. That being said, the staff is excellent, and the location can't be beat. However, I think there needs to be some truth in advertising. This is a hostel, not a hotel.

Cool place following the Selina style but horrible WiFi for a place targeting Digital Nomads. It came back and forward all the time, no estable connection. Breakfast options were very poor.

Stayed only one night but loved this hostel. It is absolutely huge, but very nicely and cosy set up. Great kitchen area and views from the terrace, perfect location (close to everything). Great value!

La habitación que nos asignaron no tenia ventilación, la ventana era interna hacia un corredor, si eso se especificaba en la reserva, no la hubiera adquirido. El ventilador del baño tampoco funcionaba. El personal amable, pero no pudo solucionar mi pedido de cambio de habitación. Todo esto contrasta con lo agradable que es el desayuno en el rooftop con vista al río. El edificio es muy antiguo, se escucha a las personas caminar y hablar en las habitaciones contiguas y superiores. El último día una cucaracha apareció en el baño.

Todo empezó con la reserva al llegar al sitio era algo distinto a lo que me esperaba, una habitación con baño compartido por cuanto debí pagar un extra por tener un baño privado, se suponía que mi habitación sería con vista al rio pero eso tampoco fue así, al día siguiente por la mañana me pedían que abandone la habitación por cuanto “la reserva se cumplía” después de exponer y evidenciar que mi reserva era por días salimos a caminar para pasar el mal rato y como si fuera poco al regreso la habitación no le habían hecho el aseo. Es paradójico pensar que el sitio donde llegas a “descansar” cause tantas malestares juntos.

El personal es muy amable y están muy abiertos en lo que necesites. El hotel está muy bien ubicado para llegar a todos los lugares turísticos caminando, y la zona se siente segura. Además, en las noches, hay movimiento porque hay restaurantes cerca. En la parte negativa, se siente que falta renovar muchas cosas del hotel, como la alfombra que lleva al restaurante que está vieja, o el baño de la habitación que está anticuado y mal mantenido. Además, la habitación no se parece ni de cerca a la que ponen en las fotos.

I liked the breakfast and the hotel is in an area of ​​bars, karaoke bars, discos impossible to rest, only one day they cleaned the room, every time you walked the floor sounded... I asked for a room change but it was not possible...

El día domingo 23-02-20 que llegamos de mañana al hotel el señor que nos atendió fue muy amable y nos guardó las maletas nuestras ya que el check in era recién de tarde. De tarde regresamos al hotel y desafortunadamente el señor que nos atendió de mañana se fue y en vez hubo otro señor. Esta señor que nos atendió fue un grosero que no ayudó en nada. Un total cretino que no quería atender en lo más mínimo a los clientes y en vez estaba con sus groserías. De ahí el baño de nuestra habitación,el cuál era 407, apestaba. Era tan fuerte el olor que pasaba a toda la habitación y olía terrible. No había ni cómo dormir con el olor tan fuerte. El día siguiente limpiaron dos veces y si trataron de ayudar pero estaba terrible el olor. Al final tuve que poner una toalla entre la puerta del baño para tratar de aislar el olor en el baño. Lo bueno del hotel es que si estaba bien centrado y estaba a menos de 5 minutos caminando de la catedral de Cuenca y esta cerca de todos los restaurantes y bares. Ademas de eso también tenía una linda vista, sin embargo no recomendaría este hotel. El mal trato a los clientes y la suciedad no es para nada tolerable.

Es un tipo de hotel diferente es estar en tu casa en otra ciudad , puedes cocinar, hacer tu rutina de ejercicio , es solo cambiar de espacio. Las habitaciones cómodas hay de todo tipo depende de tu presupuesto pero desde la más económica hasta la más costosa es cómoda limpian y agradable

The whole atmosphere let you feel as being at home. Staff was friendly and helpful when I needed them. Facilities in public spaces could be cleaner, but in general terms, my stay was very pleasant and I would recommend people to book a room there.
