Upon reviewing our records, it was evident that there was only one day when the housekeeper was granted access to your room. Each day, you prevented her entry and instead handed her the garbage. It appears that there may have been a breakdown in communication, resulting in very limited opportunity for us to provide room service. Judging from the condition in which the room was left after your departure, we regret not being able to enter and address any issues. We were quite disappointed with the state in which the room was left, and weret fortunate to able to remove the stains from the heavily soiled linen.Typically, when there is an isolated case of pests in any one room, it means something is being left in the room that attracts them. This was evident from the state of the kitchen and we are sorry it was not obvious where the broom and scoop was stored. We will certainly make this information clearer, however this could have been easily rectified had mentioned it to the front desk when you came to request for the extra soap.We are grateful for any constructive criticism but we must also be given the opportunity to provide our service.Kind RegardsBananaquit

Dear Gest Yes all rooms do have kitchenettes with minimum of fridge, toaster oven and basic breakfast utensils, but not all have appliances for cooking. To have full kitchen amenities, you need to book a signature stdio or loft apartment.

Understandably this guest is expressing distaste as she could not be placed in the room she originally booked. However the client could have avoided all mishaps to booking if they provided valid credit card, responded to message requesting arrival time or even arrived during reception open hours. Instead, management had to be called out after midnight to accommodate. Normally if guest inform of such late arrival, they are provided with self-check in instructions, but payment must be provided in advance (which was not). Unable to be placed in room of choice at that hour, she was accommodated in overnight guest room and would be moved to room of choice next day. The next morning we did not see or hear from guest to facilitate their move. Both the overnight room and their new room were held until 4 pm, when they decided to inform us they would be checking out. All in all, procedures and policies were not followed and communication and demeanor from this guest was very poor which made it very difficult for us to provide our best service to this guest.

Its a shame that this guest did not take the time to read policies clearly stated on this site, as it is not possible to "lie" about documented policies and it would have saved a lot of misunderstanding. Just to use this opportunity to further clarify policies. We also do state our reception hours and standard check in time of 2 pm, therefore notification of arrival time at least 24 hours in advance is essential. Despite many requests from management, we were not provided with an arrival time nor were we given valid credit card details. Despite this lack of response, we still made staff available when they called before 7 am and facilitated their early check in at no extra charge, by accommodating in an upgraded room (being the only room available at that hour.) Late cancellations are not entitled to a refund, but had the guest been aware of services which incur a charge and which room they originally booked, they would realise they did also receive free services to accommodate at a very early hour. However we will take this complaint very seriously as see if there is a way to make this information more noticeable to visiting guests.
