"Needed an affordable place in this part of Crotone – Il Tulipano looked ideal. Single room, shared bathroom, extremely cheap. Arrived after dark, phoned the owners as reception isn't manned, they kindly drove out to pick me up. B&B is close-ish to the station but tucked away and hard to find, certainly for the first time at night – it's opposite the entrance of the Marrelli Hospital of Radiology & Radiotherapy, marked on maps. "We stayed 3 nights off season in April. There is an electric security gate and private garden. So secure parking. The gardens are lovely and the hillside location pleasant. We were warmly welcomed and left to enjoy ourselves. Breakfast was self serve in the room. We could freely come & go to the local attractions. The bathroom was nice."

"What a great find! OK this is nothing fancy, but if you want a friendly hotel with simple but first class home cooking this is the place for you. We have two wonderful meals, with generous helpings of their home made red wine (delicious) and their own sausages (yum). The room was simple but adequate and the view was wonderful. "Villaggio molto grande, nel complesso pulito. Ci ha stupito la mancanza di coprimaterassi nelle camere che non danno una grande sensazione di igiene, e il cambio tovaglie a tavola ogni 5/6 giorni. I beskrivningen stod utsikt mot park men det var en bakgård. Nyckeln till vårt rum var samma som till alla sju rum. Två gånger då vi kom tillbaka var vårt rum olåst efter den sk städningen. Den bestod av nya handdukar om man tjatade – annars inte. Sängen var hemsk. Vi låg på spiralfjädrar....
