"This little Inn is full of charm and character, in a beautiful, quiet setting along a canal. The staff (in the hotel as well as the restaurant) was incredibly warm and helpful. Accommodations were clean and comfortable, and the food was spectacular. This was a great stay."

Only snag is the place is out of range for taxi/uber pickups. They are able to drop off if you’re coming from Edinburgh but best to rely on Eskbank station or a rental car if you need to get back."

"This hotel has closed down and hasn’t notified Expedia or any other agent and is still taking bookings on their own website directly. Expedia gave me shocking customer service when I raised this with them. I spent 2 hours on the phone trying to get them to believe me. Total disaster. Avoid Expedia at all costs. "

"Everything was outstanding! There is a bar/restaurant attached to the hotel, and several other restaurants in walking distance. there is a Train station a 7-minute drive that takes you to many locations. 5 stars! Would stay again"
