“Not four stars but is a good three star and not expensive.”

I thing the finishing of the hotel room was a let down with the decor a little cheap and tired. However it was the end of season when we stayed and it was not expensive. On a more possitive note the bed was quite comfortable and we sleept well. It had all the facilities we required and very pleasant staff. The view from our Balcony was to die for.

The Hotel in in a lovely quiet residential area with a beautiful easy walk into Sitges town along the front.

“Pleasant stay at Sitges.”

This hotel is rated 4 stars, and while I think that this is slightly over generous compared to 4 stars in North America it is nice nevertheless. The hotel staff are extremely friendly and efficient, and the pool area is lovely. It is right opposite the beach too, and about a 15 minute walk from the centre of Sitges. They have bikes if you prefer that to walking. The main reason why I have graded it a 4 instead of a 5 for certain categories is that my bed should have been a double, but was in fact two singles made up separately and pushed together, and a rather unpleasant odour which seemed to be coming from the bathroom. I suspect the plumbing/drainage is old, and this was especially bad when it had been raining hard as is quite often the case with other establishments in Spain. I would stay again though as the good outweighed the bad.

“Comfortable hotel with friendly staff”

Enjoyed four nights in Subur Maritim - good value for the amenities. Great walk into town - burned off the tapas and vino - beach just across the road, quiet location. Would recommend it for anyone looking for value hotel outside the town centre.

“A Mini-Resort”

The pool area and overall service at the hotel was five star. The 10 min walk to the city centre was enjoyable as you walked along the water the entire way. The breakfast was good quality - however if you are staying more than a couple days it gets monotonous. The only thing I can really fault was the beds - although comfortable and clean our double bed was 2 singles pushed together and were on wheels. Therefore they had the tendency to roll around. However you are in Sitges to enjoy the sun and beach so the bed situation was only a small issue. Everything else about the hotel was really impressive - especially the friendliness of the staff.

“Second stay at hotel - would return”

I small and well run hotel opposite the beach and at the quieter end of town. This was our second stay and we would certainly return.

Area recommendations

The centre of Sitges has a wide variety of restaurants and there is a frequent (and cheap) train service into Barcelona - it takes about 45 minutes. Having taken the car into Barcelona I would certainly opt for the train. However, please be aware of potential pick-pocketers when travelling around Barcelona, particularly when using public transport.

When to go

We went in early April, just before the Easter break. It was a great time to go, especially as we hired a car and parking was so much easier before the main season. Weather was also very good.

“We would stay again.”

“Nice Spot”

We booked this to be close to the Barcelona airport, and were very pleasantly surprised. A little off the beaten path: 10-15 minute walk to centre along beach. However, the location was very pleasant and quiet. Beautiful grounds and pool. Helpful staff. Very well maintained property. Comfortable room with nice balcony. Although few rooms look over the water, most views are quite nice.

“Convenient airport stop over”

We were on our way to Reus Airport at the end of March and stayed here with friends who had been a number of times previously. The hotel was quiet probably because it was out of season. Our room was comfortable enough and conveniently located on the first floor. The complimentary tea and coffee service in reception could have been better and we had to ask for more cups. We had planned to walk into the centre of Sitges for a meal at night but it's a fair distance and it was raining heavily so we drove most of the way.

“impossible de dormir avant 2 heures du matin !”

tout pourrait etre parfait dans cet hotel, mais comme les murs sont aussi épais qu'une feuille de cigarette, c'est un vrai cauchemar si vous tombez comme nous sur des voisins irrespectueux , TV a 2 heures du mat, j'en passe et des meilleurs, donc la prochaine fois c'est ailleurs
