This small hotel is very clean, the breakfast was complete and good, the apartment was big, very clean and we had all we needed. I will definitly book again next time I am around Corwen. Very much recommended.

This was such a lovely hotel. Very clean, and the room was so comfortable. The owners are so so kind and nothing is too much. The breakfast is brilliant, and you’re given filter coffee and fresh toast as soon as you sit down. The value for money is amazing. I would stay here again and again. Thank you so much!

Little gem hotel
Greeted with a smile, helpful & polite staff. We booked the budget double, small but cosy. Had heating, TV, lovely comfy bed, small bathroom with shower, toilet & sink. Nice surprise at breakfast with hot English breakfast along with continental meats plus cereals & pastries, also proper coffee. Location great being on the town high street. Old wooden beams on ground floor along with breakfast area giving off 16th century couch house vibes.

Clean room with tea and coffee facilities. The simple breakfast was enough for us and not over facing. Had a curry at the local Indian in the village .

The Crown Hotel.
The Crown Hotel has a certain charm. It is not the Ritz but the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable and perfectly adequate for our requirements.

The property is 17th Century, so you cannot expect soundproofed walls like you would have in a modern hotel. Just to be aware that you can hear some noise from adjacent rooms. The decor is all a bit tired, but the bed was comfortable.

Enjoyable short break
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Room was spotless and well equipped. Very friendly and helpful staff at breakfast time. The location was perfect for what we wanted being very convenient for Llangollen, Pont Cysyllte aqueduct, Bala and Oswestry.

Positive - the bedroom and bathroom were clean Negative - all the windows in the property are filthy, and really dusty, making the property feel dirty overall. The communal area, by reception, smells stale. It would not take much time or money to improve everything, by just giving it a really good clean.

Being Right Next To A Main Busy Road Surly You Should Understand Windows Will Get Dirty Very Quickly, Especially When It Is The A5.The Communal Area Outside The Reception Has A Outside Bin For Guests That Is Emptied Daily It Must OF Has Something Too Do With What Someone Has Put In The Bin That Day. I Suggest Next Time You Stay Somewhere You Think Reasons Why There Could Be These Problems And Tell A Member Of Staff Before Writing A Poor Review.

If your intention is to come to wales just to drink in the hotel, I can understand why you left early,maybe a weatherspoons would be more suitable.

Not very good.
We were put in a bedroom built into the attic, with very low, sharp edged, sawn timber beams and a toilet with a ceiling so low, I was unable to stand up to urinate, (I am a man)! The beams need some padding on the sharp edges, so that when you get up in the middle of the night, you won't hurt yourself if you bump into them. The room was overlooking the main A5 trunk road and therefore very noisy all day and night. Breakfast was OK, although the booking said continental breakfast and English breakfast but only a Continental was available.

The bedroom has been in "the attic"for over 250 years,that is why it is called a Coaching Inn.As the building is listed alterations to modernize are very difficult and we have had to compromise. The location is on the A5 as it was a coaching house which tend to be near a road.Not sure were you saw cooked breakfast,but you certainly didnt mention it and I served you every morning. You are being optimistic if you thought you could bang your head on the beams!RegardsJohn

Lovely place to stay in a beautiful area.
Lovely clean bright bedrooms. Ideal if you have kids as rooms are ajoining with a fridge and microwave. Manageress in particular was very friendly.

Fantastic place to stay
The outside of the building is completely different to inside! Inside the hotel is fantastic. The rooms are clean, spacious and very comfortable. Host can not do enough for you. Breakfast was fresh and lots of choice. Good to have car parking on site. But if full there is a free car park further along the road.

Kan ikke anbefales
Uanset at det er en gammel kro/hotel. Så er det slet ikke pengene værd. Det kan lige gå an til en enkelt overnatning. Men heller ikke mere. Sengen er hård, der lugter, der er beskidt og der er ingen at få fat i efter kl 20. Vores ekstra seng var ikke gjordt klar da vi kom og personalet kunne knap nok forstå hvad der blev sagt. Morgenmaden var utilstrækkelig og man havde ikke mulighed for at få noget at spise eller drikke om aftenen. Der var køkken på vores værelse, men man kunne høre dem ovenpå bruge deres vaske for så stod vandet op i vores vask. Der var et viskestykke som var drivvådt og man havde ikke mulighed for at få eg nyt. Alt i alt kan det virkelig ikke anbefales med mindre man bare skal sove for en nat og så videre.

Being A Old Coaching House We Have To Adapt To What We Can. People Have Never Complained About A Smell Or The Bed In The Room You Was In Before. The Day Of Your Check In We Had Only One House Keeper As The Second On Phoned In Sick That Day. The Reception Number Is 24 Hour And I Never Received A Call From You During Your Stay So You Really Didn't Even Try To Get Hold Of Anyone After 8pm. The Room Above You Belongs To The Owners Who Most Likely Just Gone To Their Room After A Long Day At Work. Yes The Owners Are New To The Business As They Are Chinese But They Are Still Learning. The Breakfast Has A Variety Of Things Provided For The Guests Considering It Is Free. If You Looked At Our Hotel Before Booking Properly It Does State We Don't Do Meals In The Evening. And The Tea Towel I Still Refer To My Previous Point Of The Reception Is A 24 Hour Phone Line For Any Issues You Have. To Be Honest It Seems You Came Here Expecting A 5 Star Hotel Experience In A Old 17th Century Coaching House.

Die Lage ist zentral und verkehrsgünstig in Nordwales, jede Sehenswürdigkeit ist innerhalb einer Stunde mit dem Auto erreichbar. Der Bahnhof wird aktuell hergerichtet für einen Anschluss an die touristische Strecke nach Snowdonia. Eine perfekte Ausgangslage, um Nordwales zu genießen. Das historische Gebäude ist liebevoll modernisiert, insbesondere mit hervorragender Geräuschdämmung zur Hauptstraße hin. Unser Bett war sehr angenehm, wir haben fest und tief geschlafen. Das morgens frisch zubereitete kontinentale Frühstück könnte durch umweltschonende Alternativen zu einzeln verpackten Zutatenportionen noch gewinnen. Fragen zu allen möglichen Themen wurden beantwortet und Sonderwünsche wurden gerne angenommen und nach Möglichkeit erfüllt. Man fühlt sich einfach willkommen und umsorgt. Gerne wieder!
