“Nothing Fancy”

It was an okay place to stay. Nothing fancy. Everyone that stayed in our room is now sick. We believe the smell that was in our room caused our allergies to act up. Location is great though.

“Old Motel - Cheap Owner”

Pretty rough on the inside, needs major renovation. My desk table had it's legs glued/patched back together. Outside looks nice, the rooms are old and need work. Went down at 8:30 for continental breakfast and there was nothing left, no coffee either. Went back at 11:00 to check out, still no coffee. The manager said the owner would not allow him to make coffee after continental breakfast hours, tight wad owner. Hotel reflects the owner's tight wad behavior, doesn't put money into fixing or providing anything for the guest that's going to cost him money! Place is a dump!

“Not Impressed”

Older building. Using air freshners on the AC vent was not a good idea! Did not like the smell, besides, what are they covering up. Just face it the place needs major updating!! In a college town and in their location, they really should update the place, they'd get alot more business!!!!! They had several work crews there, and breakfast was none exisitant after they left for work, the one morning there was things left, the housekeepers was stuffing their pockets with the wrapped food.....geeish!! An attendant could be benificial to keeping the place cleaned up after breakfast too. Just felt to dirty to eat their.

“Not Impressed!”

The saying you get what you pay for was accurate in this case. My daughter and I were there for just one night. We ended up with a room that had an adjoining room door that looked as if it had been broken into a few times. The lock didn't look secure. We were a little nervous. My daughter came out after taking a shower and told me that there was a lot of water on the floor. I thought it was just because the shower curtain didn't keep all the water in, but she said it was more than she felt it should have been. She cleaned up what she could. About a hour later we are watching TV and someone starts banging on the door. We couldn't tell what they were saying so we didn't open the door and I called the office to tell them so they could send someone to check. No one answered the office phone. We were pretty freaked out about that time. A few moments later someone bangs on the door again and it was the manager. He identified himself this time. The bathroom was leaking water into the room below us so he had us packing up and moving into a different room at 9:30 that night! The new room was cleaner and in much better shape. It irritated me that they would put us in a room of that shape when they had another room empty that was much cleaner and overall better shape. The manager was very apologetic and I realize some of the issues we had were out of his control but I can't imagine why they would put anyone in that room when they had much better rooms sitting empty.

“Will stay at this motel again .”

The staff were friendly and helpful. Motel room was not exactly what we thought we booking, but otherwise, room was clean and comfy.

“Woud probably stay there again”

The only problem we had was one day they cleaned the room and left no towels. We left out of our room around 9 a.m. and did not return until 8:30 p.m. that night. TWe were hot and tired and really wanted to take a shower before going to bed. There was no excuse for this. I called the front desk and was told by the guy that was working that night that it would be a while before he could get us some and I would have to come to the fromt desk and pick them up. We were all the way across the parking lot from him. I also told the girl at the front desk when we checked out about it and she did not even seem interested in what I was telling her.

“Would stay again”

Was in Starkville for conferences, and had no problem with the hotel. It was fine for travel and met all expectations. Would stay again if back in the area. Mexican Restaurant next door is has good food and convenient.
