Centrally located, but quiet
The bed wasn't particularly comfortable. No TV channels, in English, were working. Breakfast options were really good. Staff were helpful & spoke good English. Hotel parking charges weren't explained during booking process. An extra 'energy' charge (additional to city tax) per guest has been in place since November 2022, but this wasn't mentioned during booking.

Simple room, indifferent staff, great location
Check in was odd, without even greeting us front desk said “I don’t have rooms until 3pm,” I asked if we could pre register and come back for the keys she said no. It was 1:30pm. We parked and went back in to use the restrooms and saw a lady checking in, then my husband asked “so you have rooms ready now?” So she finally asked for our last name and yes room was ready, but she refused to check our reservation 10 mins before. They are a VIP property, and we are gold members and have early check in if available. She gave the keys and no information about the hotel or our reservation. We didn’t even know anything about the wireless had to call the front desk to ask information. Check out is at 11am, as gold members we have guarantee 2h late check out but another front desk agent said she didn’t know anything about late check out and refused to extend. We let it go. Asked the next morning, again “no late check outs available” we explained our gold members status, they agreed to 1 hour. We had discounted parking as a vip property and we had to remind them about it. they honored the discount. Location is great, room is very simple, bed with thin uncomfortable mattress, only two pillows, didn’t feel like a 4 star room. Staff could be friendlier or perhaps more caring.

No Complaints
The hotel is very well located, walking distance from the Hauptbahnhof. The room was small but serviceable, and the check-in and check-out were easy and performed by friendly personnel. No complaints, a good deal.

No frills comfort in the Old City in Cologne
This hotel is very much a no-frills type, with an amazing breakfast. It is wonderful for someone looking for a good place to rest after walking around the old city.

Clean room. But I am very disappointed with bed mattress because it is very hard and cause myself sleepless, as well as pillow is so useless, its falling apart and not firm enough so my sleeps have been bad for the last 3 nights! It is quite good location, near shops and 10 mins walk to train station.

This is not a 4 star hotel, the room was so small that I thought we had been given a single room by mistake. There was only 1 large pillow on the bed. the bed itself was bigger than a twin size, but much smaller than a queen size. There was no room for both of our suitcases so mine was wedged between the bed and the wall and I had to walk over it at night to get to the restroom. Additionally, there was a weird intermittent buzzing sound both day and night. The other facilities in the hotel were good, the breakfast was also fairly good but somewhat average by most German hotels we have stayed at. The personnel were friendly and professional. My main disappointment was with the room and the buzzing noise. There is also only one elevator, so the wait could be long at times.
