Maria & her husband were excellent host, touring us around the city, picking us up from airport and dropping us to port to join our cruise. The flat is beautiful with stunning character and ocean front view from terrace. Maria and her husband could not be more accommodating or wonderful to deal with! We will be back

Maria is fantastic. Very accommodating, car service was a great way to arrive and get to know her. Beautiful sea views from the living room and bedroom. Comfortable beds, snacks to enjoy and eggs and toast for us to make in the morning. Perfection. She provided us information for a morning walk, roamed the farmers market, and had pizza at Pizzeria La Ternana. Great way to kick off our Mediterranean cruise. Highly recommended!

A beautiful weekend retreat
On a whim, I booked a trip to Italy and found Marilì's listing when searching for a place to stay. I wanted to spend a long weekend somewhere quiet and beautiful, and Mowita was the perfect spot. Civitavecchia is an easy 40-min train ride from Rome, and Mowita is only a 5-minute walk from the station. The view from the balcony was exactly what I wanted and filled me with joy - I took many, many photos and videos from that spot during my visit. But above and beyond the gorgeous views, Marilì was a wonderful host. She communicated with me frequently leading up to my trip, picked me up from the train station because it was raining, and had assembled many wonderful treats at Mowita to enhance my stay. She and her husband were also kind enough to invite me to dinner with some friends, which was a highlight of the weekend. The food and company were exceptional! I went looking for a weekend of 'dolce far niente' and everything about my stay at Mowita lived up to my expectations. I'd highly recommend Mowita to anyone looking for the perfect spot in Civitavecchia!

Hosts are kind, friendly, quick to respond to questions, helpful, provide recommendations, and offer extra services and unique experiences. Location is close to the train station, is near several restaurants, and you cannot beat the view in Civitavecchia. We hope to stay again.

Our favorite place
We booked Mowita for a 2-night stay prior to a cruise. Had we known in advance how enjoyable our stay would be, we would have come earlier. From our first interaction with Marili until we left, this was the best experience we have had with VRBO. Her flat is ideally located very near to the train station, where you can easily take one of the frequent trains into Rome. The train station is also where you will find a shuttle bus to the cruise port, which is nearby but a bit too far to walk with luggage. The flat is well appointed and very comfortable. Marili put so much love into decorating with cheerful art, plants, pillows, throws, books and more. And then you open the patio door and bedroom window, and have the most amazing sea views! Everything you need for preparing a full breakfast is provided, as well as plenty of snacks. Several restaurants are right outside the door, whether you look right or left. It is simply perfect! And Marili is a dear - from the first interaction at booking until we left, she was friendly, efficient and attentive, always quick to reply, and she provided helpful information to maximize our time. We will be back, and for a longer stay next time. Thank you, Marili!!!

Marili is a fabulous host. Everything was perfect. She packed the flat with everything we would need for breakfast and snacks. She sent us maps, highlights, and descriptions of places we could visit. The flat is lovely. The views are outstanding. It was perfect for our short stay. I wish we could have stayed longer!!

From seamless airport pickup, touring various points of interest and dropping is off at the port, she was an outstanding host and person. Bed was very comfortable and location. Quite beautiful. Amazing Host, Cute Property
I travel a lot and our host Marili was simply the best we have ever experienced. She was really amazing and made our quick stay before our cruise very comfortable. Unfortunately our airline lost our bags so when we arrived we had only the clothes we were wearing. Marili quickly whisked us off to a shopping mall where we were able to get clothes and toiletries. Thank you again!! Mowita was a cute property in a great location right on the boardwalk with an amazing view of the water. Within steps you have numerous options for food, drinks, and shopping. The property is perfect for 2-4 people. We were 2 adults and 2 teenagers and it was good for our 1 night. It might be a little small for 4 people staying longer but worked great for us. All in all great experience that will be a great memory for our trip. PS: Sadly our bags are still lost! :(

An apartment that shows the love and care of the owner
We had a great stay in Civitavecchia, and it's due to the care and attention that Marili gave us and made us feel a part of her family. If you get the opportunity, I encourage you to join her family for dinner and to have Marili arrange a tour through some of the hidden gems in Lazio and Tuscany. Thank you, Marili for making our stay so wonderful! (The apartment is in a great location, right on the water, with easy access to restaurants and very close to the train station. We had a family of 4, where the kids stayed on the pull out coach. While it's not a huge apartment, it was more than enough for our family of 4 to stay for a couple of nights around our cruise out of the port)

My only regret is not staying longer
My spouse and I stayed an extra day in Civitavecchia after our Costa cruise ended. I wish we had spent our entire holiday at this beautiful property instead. Marilì had so much knowledge of the area. She had some wonderful sounding tours to offer us but we did not have enough time to try them. The flat was perfectly maintained, the views are even better than you see in the pictures, and the location is wonderful for a quiet, relaxing time or for easy access to all the restaurants. Marilì made sure we had everything we needed. I hope to return some day and spend more time in Civitavecchia, but specifically touring the area with Marilì. Thank you for being a wonderful host!

What an excellent little spot to stay after our cruise. Unfortunately it rained the whole day we were there, so we weren't able to explore as much as we wished, but the "Mowita" was comfortable and the wifi worked great so we were able to fill the day. Marili was an absolute excellent host. She picked us up at the cruise terminal and took us to the airport the next morning. If we ever have the opportunity to return to this area we would most definitely stay in the "Mowita", only spend a few more days there. Thank You Marili for the hospitality The Raymer's

Awesome flat, awesome location, and awesome host!
Civitavecchia is a very under rated town. After spending a few days in the city of Rome and doing all the touristy stuff and then going on a 7 day cruise around the Greek islands and coming back to Civitavecchia for 1 night before flying back home. Civitavecchia was one of our favorite parts of our trip. Not knowing anything about the area outside of getting on the cruise, it's a great town with a lot to do and walk around as well as some great restaurants. This flat is in a perfect location, easy to get to, a great area to walk around, lots of restaurants and bars withing a few steps to a few minute walk. The host, Marili, is fantastic! she was very accommodating and took great care of us checking in and checking out. It was down pouring rain when we get off the cruise and she worked it out to come pick us up right at the drop off point without having to talk anywhere. She made the experience and the flat even better. Overall a great experience and would definitely stay 1-2 nights before or after a cruise in this flat or in the Civitavecchia area.

Fabulous cruise send off!!
The owner is incredibly sweet, smart and helpful to answer all questions before we arrived. The flat was clean, comfortable and convenient. For an additional fee, she even picked us up at airport. We only stayed for one night before our cruise departed, but it was perfect!

Our stay at this flat was perfect. It began with easy booking and replies to any of my questions. We also arranged for Maria (the owner) to pick us up at the Rome airport. The arrival went smoothly even though our flight was delayed and it was raining. Maria took us to the flat and arranged for the restaurant next door which had closed to fix us some dinner. The area is perfect for a stay in Civitavecchia. It is right across from the sea in an area of restaurants, gelato shops and bars. We walked everywhere and tried several of the restaurants and all were delicious. The flat is equipped with everything you could want, it is small but laid out well. The bed is very comfy. Maria also leaves several goodies for you to get started on in the morning (coffee toast, jam, milk and cereal). We walked up to the old town,, however were happy to come back to, our little flat at the sea. I highly recommend for anyone leaving on a cruise or returning to this port to stay here rather than Rome. Thank you Maria for making this such a special stay.

Wonderful stay.
Maria Elisa, the owner and manager, was wonderful. We chose to stay in Civitavecchia rather than Rome and I am glad we did. It is a smaller, less crowded, and noisey and right on the Mediterranean. The flat is outstanding. Right on the water. Beautifully appointed and maintained. Maria Elisa could not have been more accommodating. Deserves a 10 star rating.

Well Kept Apartment in Center of Everything
This apartment was spotless, nicely decorated, well located and well appointed with all that is needed to make for an enjoyable stay. On second floor, but with an elevator to get the baggage upstairs. Most suitable for individuals who enjoy some night life because the restaurant downstairs tends to be hopping until about midnight. Owner is delightful and ready to please. She picked us up at the airport for a reasonable fee, and drove us to our cruise terminal the next day. I would stay here again.

The apartment had everything you needed, including a comfortable bed, lots of storage and closet space, enough foodstuffs to get you through a couple of meals, at least. The apartment was bright and colorful, with a fabulous view of the ocean. And not the least, our wonderful landlady not only picked us up from the train, but also delivered us to our cruise ship. Hospitality of the Owner Maria and Husband was outstanding
I am from Jacksonville, Florida, Do Not speak Italian. Lost my credit card, and Florida drivers license. It happens no matter how secure your are with these tools used regularly. The passport does not walk around in hand. Safe at home. The owner helped me all these travesties. The owner also introduced me to the restaurant owner below the suite. The home is on the second floor, access by elevator. The view is outstanding. The music and life of the city below comes alive at eight o’clock in the evening. Travel alone to a country and language you do not understand. Solitude is wonderful > speaking with people in a language you do not speak >> NO Problem! The Local citizens are eager to assist. Being lost is time spent enjoying new surroundings. !!!
