Communication was good, host was present when we required, air conditioning was broken however fan was provided and partial refund given for inconvenience Location is fine, too of the hill in the restaurant area. Room and bed were fine for what we were after Thank you!

This was a perfect place with a beautiful rooftop terrace and close to the train station and everything else. We loved our stay and would highly recommend to anyone. The climb to the entrance is steep and may be difficult for some however but we welcomed the exercise after all the food & wine.

It's all about the view
It's small and basic. The bathroom is tiny. The bedroom was clean. There's A/C in the bedroom which was a nice surprise. Yeah, there are stairs. Welcome to Cinqueterre. The balcony/terrace is a good size, although quite shabby. But all of this is meaningless when you look out and realize you have one of the most amazing views in town. The sea views and buildings that surround you are breathtaking and you can take it all in from your very own balcony. Those views are totally worth it.

Fantastic Apartment
Fantastic apartment - beds were comfortable, shower was good, kitchen had everything, (we cooked some meals ourselves), and the view from our little balcony - stunning! We managed the stairs leading to the apartment easily. Great pizza place & bar directly below the apartment. It was amazing to live like a local for a few days! Would definitely recommend.

We are sorry about the cousin's problem, but Riomaggiore is an ancient town and at that time the elevators were not used and now they cannot be added. Another time it would be good for you to find out where you are going and how the place is. When customers book we send a message indicating that to access the rooms or apartments there are several stairs and this message has also been sent to you (We are sorry that you do not read). Great location, stunning view. Appartment is big enough for two people. helpful staff. Parking is located on the top of the village and the appartment is completely on the bottom. It's 4th floor, so lots of steps up to the appartment, do not recommend to elderly people or small kids. Bathroom could be better organized, shower has only light curtain and water is splashing all over. Also it has tiniest sink, you barely can wash your hands in it. Overall we were satisfied, but some improvement with bathroom should be done.

Lovely town, The check in wascessy but they originally gave us just a room but we booked one with kitchenette, they had one which was what we'd seen and booked via hotels.com not sure why they didn't have the same info as us? Anyway it was a great location overlooking the Harbour and town and would recommend.

Appartamenti e Camere Edi was a great place to stay in Riomaggiore. Clean, comfortable, and well functioning air conditioning in the July summer heat. They provided fresh towels daily. Only minor downside is the WiFi not being completely reliable, but it was functioning a majority of the time. Expect a steep uphill climb and spiral staircase to the room, but I don’t think you can stay anywhere in Cinque Terre without getting a good lower body workout.

Find somewhere else in town to stay
First of all, do not fall for the picture, there is NO view of the sea. Second, the reception is far from the rooms. The whole town is on a hill and the hotel rooms are up spiral stairs, so beware if you did not pack lightly, there is no elevator and no help (for free from the hotel). The manager/owner was completely awful to me when I inquired about my reservation being for 2 twin beds, which was not what we got. She kept telling me hotels.com did not confirm with her and made it seem like it was my fault. She then got a friend who spoke better English and then they talked about us in Italian in front of us. The room was extremely small. We barely had room to lay out suitcases, let alone move around. All that being said, we visited all 5 villages of Cinque Terre using the train day pass and Riomaggiore was my favorite, so I would recommend staying in the town, just not at this hotel!! Lots of great little restaurants and gelato places. Bar Zorza was our favorite spot. There are plenty others. So Riomaggiore = PERFECT!! Apartamente e Camere Edi = TERRIBLE!

We are sorry that you did not find yourself well with us, but we would like to remind you that at your arrival you were offered a payment aid for your luggage as this service is not provided by us and the person at the reception was of age to be his mother and her daughter's grandmother. Unfortunately, the request to have two beds was not received from Hotels. com and this is what the (American) lady who acted as an interpreter told you. However the two beds were made. The fact that you do not have a terrace with a sea view is a mistake for you, because the rooms you book are very distinct and have all the description and of course there is also a price difference. The room where you stayed is in the standards for these areas, and it didn't have any comfort. You also had a common area for free coffee and yogurt.

Io penso di sapere chi sia il cliente e dico loro che ci dispiace che la camera nuova, con bagno privato, aria condizionata, Wi_fi e zona comune con bevande calde e snaks compresi nel prezzo non sia stata di loro gradimento perché pensavano di andare in un appartamento con terrazzo vista mare, ma non è colpa nostra se non leggono le descrizioni e non guaradno le foto. L’Ancora 1, Riomaggiore
Positives: Central location, perfect for accessing trains and ferries, easy check in, charming if tiny room, daily cleaning and fresh towels, free coffee machine Negatives: Kitchenette is shared and very tiny and contains sink and coffee machine only, no utensils, crockery, kettle or microwave etc so impossible to self cater at all. Standing room only, no table and chairs. We had a major water leak half way through our stay which resulted in a lot of noise and disruption over a couple of days but we’re not offered alternative accommodation.

This place is a dream. The apartment itself is adorable and feels very Italian. The views out of any window are breathtaking. The balcony overlooking the sea and the city, is well what you came all the way to Cinque Terre for. This apartment is not for people who struggle with stairs :)

Poor wifi condition but like the local area
I had a problems in their wifi service. Maybe the capacity was not enough, I could not use wifi half of the time. Even when I can use wifi, the speed was very low that I could not search information on our trip. The apartment was OK in condition. It was a studio with a small table and kitchen. But the kitchen did not have a microwave oven. The space was spacious enough and with that open space the owner could have put a couch or some other furniture to make the life more comfortable.

I stayed in the Horizon apartment on the 6th floor with sea view and it was outstanding! The amazing view was the highlight. The wifi was good, the shower had plenty of warm water, and the bed was comfortable. The only negative was the strange occurrence at check-in. The attendant brought me to a different apartment that what I had booked and paid for. It was the much smaller and less expensive "Marina" apartment located directly below the Horizon apartment. Once I realized the mistake, I went back to the office to let them know. The attendant said that she could not put me in the Horizon apartment because the water heater was broken and needed to be fixed. They got me into the correct apartment the next day after the water heater was fixed, but only after I brought the matter up myself. They eventually made things right, but I should have been told about the situation up front, rather than them just putting me in a smaller, cheaper apartment and assuming that I would accept the change (even though I had already paid a premium for the bigger/nicer apartment). Other than that one negative, the staff were very nice and accommodating, even though there was a bit of a language barrier.

The view was fabulous although the photos are from a room on a floor higher than the one we had. There was mold in the bathroom and the lights in the kitchen/diining area and the bed area did not have covers just open bulbs. There were dead bugs between another light fixture an the wall. Some of the drywall was peeling and my guess is because there was mold behind it in in the kitchen area and a small spot in the bath. The steps to the room were expected but the height of each step would make it difficult for many to easily get up them. There was a porter service of 5 euros per bag to take the luggage from the check in office to the room. The room location from the check in office was down a hill, then down two short flights of stairs, across a tunnel, down a flight of stairs, down a long slope up a flight of stairs, up a slope all prior to getting to the stairs in the building. We had been to Riomaggiore but had not remembered there were so many stairs and hills to get to the location. Its a wonderful town but expect some climbing.
