The two good things about the hotel is that it is 10 minutes to the Palermo airport and the restaurant on the ground floor is acceptable. The hotel room itself may be one step above a hostel. Just a flat sheet over a bare mattress with another flat sheet over that. With one very lumpy pillow. When I asked for another cover, I was given two very sketchy looking brown bedspreads. We were given to rough bath towels, and one hand towel. The elevator is an antique. And we couldn’t find the stairs. The elevator took his long is five minutes to arrive. And there are only the ground floor and the first floor. The ground floor is a restaurant in the first floor has rooms.

A good value hotel. The entrance and arrival was uninspiring but the room was spotless and the breakfast staff pleasant and helpful. Although the hotel is very close to the airport the taxi fare was €40. However, I would certainly stay again as a transit hotel.

It is near the airport which was about a 10min drive. Simple check out and spacious rooms. However, the room had some bugs, was dirty, and had trash his the closet. Additionally, we had to ask for toilet paper which the hotel seemed bothered to provide.

From the moment we walked in we were treated like family! Filippo was professional yet down to earth, cracking a joke or two as he checked us in. The entire staff was exceptional. The food in the restaurant was OUTSTANDING! If you’re looking for fancy-go elsewhere. This is a modest little older hotel in a quiet little town. Not expensive at all. It was enough for us! Would recommend.

Walking distance to the beach and Cinisi
My flight out of Palermo was cancelled and I couldn't get rebooked for two days. This turned into a positive thing because I spent two nights at Hotel Il Pirata and spent the extra days at the beach and exploring the quaint city of Cinisi.

Although I loved the fact that there was music in the dining area it went way too late. We were trying to go to sleep and the music was so loud we couldn’t do anything to block it out. The food was absolutely fabulous in the restaurant. Obviously this is the place to be on a Saturday night. Amenities were good and pretty basic and the place was clean

Sara was amazing and extremely helpful! The restaurant in the hotel was perfect and the food was delicious! The entire staff made you feel so comfortable. If I ever get back to Palermo I would definitely stay here again!

Il Pirata is a quiet, clean, affordable little hotel over a great Italian Restaurant!! Great for an overnight stay in Palermo. 15 minutes from the airport, it is perfect for sleeping after a great meal downstairs. The staff is great, especially the young lady , who lived in Wisconsin. Her English saved the day. If you love fish and great portions do not miss this restaurant!

Decent place for price.
Great family run hotel, beautiful near beach, decent breakfast, happy and helpful staff though sometimes (evening) seemed bothered, WiFi was TERRIBLE and disappeared from the hallways! Clean, cozy, great location. Easy to zip to the airport or autostrada.

This is truly a bare. Ones hotel which would have been acceptable. However, it was further from the airport than I had thought which again no big deal. The awful part is the noise. Restaurant clanging of dishes, trash being dragged from restaurant people talking and road noise very late into the morning hours. Hardly was able to sleep.

Great spot close to the Palermo airport. It is a little hard to find but GPS can get you there. The room is tight as most Italian hotel rooms are, but ours looked spotless and brand new or newly refurbished. The bathroom is really good with a shower stall that is larger than many you'll find in Italy. A big plus is the fantastic restaurant on the ground floor which draws a huge crowd of locals. Service there is a little funky but the food is absolutely fantastic and a great value. If you love sefood you will love it. Check out the trolley of fresh seafood on ice where you can pick your own dinner. The official opening time is 8:00PM but you would be wise to get there 15 minutes early to beat the rush and maybe get some personal attention from the staff that gets overwhelmed when the local crowd comes pouring in.

Nice hotel out side Palermo
Staff was very polite and helpful. Young receptionist spoke very good English. Room was clean, bed was quite comfortable. Hotel has nice restaurant. Food price is reasonable. Parking might be tricky as not many parking lots available. But you can park on street. Breakfast was OK for this type of hotel. We should say we were really surprised by this hotel. We did not expect that hotel will be nice. IT WAS NICE.

Charmer close to airport
We stayed here to be close to the airport for our next day early morning flight. It is very close...about 15 minutes by car. The hotel is actually part of a restaurant and you check in and access your room through the restaurant. The rooms are basic, however extremely clean. All we needed. Area is wonderful and walking distance close to the beach. Our early flight meant we could not take advantage of the included breakfast, but the day of check in we enjoyed our lunch in the restaurant. Very friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely stay here again.

Andrea Il Pirata hotel/restaurant
Il Pirata is a hotel/restaurant where the restaurant is the more important part of the establishment. It is located in the small town of Cinisi and is close to the Palermo airport (Punta Raisa), so many people use it as a place to stay before an early morning flight. It is a five minute walk to the beach. The rooms are simple, whitewashed and immaculately clean and the bed is comfortable, but this is no five star establishment. The restaurant downstairs serves wonderful fresh seafood (no meat dishes on the menu), so one reason to stay there is for the food. Wifi was rather weak. Breakfast was fine, but simple. The personnel are family and are very friendly, the food and wine are inexpensive and there is a family atmosphere about the place. We enjoyed it very much and would return. It is about a 10-15 minute drive to the airport.

Overall a good stay!
We just needed a cheap place to stay somewhere near the airport and this hotel exceeded our expectations. The seafood restaurant on the first floor was delicious and authentic Sicilian cuisine. The girl working the front desk was very nice and even delivered us breakfast snacks the night before we left because she knew we had an early flight and that we would be missing breakfast. Overall a good stay.

Very close to the airport
We chose this B&B for proximity to the airport and it is very close. It was difficult for us to find when we came through town, but directly from the airport it would probably be easier to find. If you were here for a beach vacation, this would be a good place to stay because it's a stone's throw from the water. Parking is available. They have a restaurant downstairs and rooms upstairs and there is an elevator which is a big plus. The rooms are very clean. The restaurant was nice and the food good, especially the seafood. Lots of locals frequent this place so you know the food is good. We would stay here again if we were going to the airport.

We had a lovely stay at Hotel II Pirata and the end of April. As we had a very early flight the next morning, the location was perfect. It was quite busy when we arrived (a bus of volley ball players) - but very fun to watch. The staff were amazing in turning over a full hotel from the athletes and very accommodating! We had a fabulous dinner that night (highly recommended). Since we had to leave at 5:00 am, no one was at the front desk, but assumed all went well with check out. Our room was above the parking lot, so a little loud, but otherwise - loved it. You have to have a meal there - the best! - Jack and Angela

Nice hotel close to beach
We were there in off season which meant that we couldn't use the pool or beach but the rooms are very large and very comfortable. The staff was very helpful.

Great for airport experience.
The hotel was clean and very close to the airport which was great for an early morning flight. The staff was helpful and nice. We arrived late and sat in the restaurant for a glass of wine and they gave us a nice plate of complementary tapas and didn't rush us out of the restaurant. The room was small, but clean and had everything that one would need for a short stay. The only downfall was the ride to the airport the next morning. The hotel manager called a cab for us the night before to get to the airport the next morning, which was very nice and the driver was punctual the next day. However, we were expecting a palermo city taxi and it was a guy running a tour company. As such, the ride to the airport seemed overly expensive and I would recommend asking about the rate before agreeing to the ride.

Perfekt läge! Dock svårt att se själva ingången till hotellet då det är ett kulturhus som inte får sätta upp stora skyltar, men ligger helt perfekt både från järnväg från flygplats (75 m från centralstation till vänster) och till Barcelonas uteliv med restauranger uteserveringar och kultur,
