A 10 minute walk to Highcliffe beach (stony beach) and a further 20 minute walk to Highcliffe Castle beach (sandy). We spent hours walking along the beautiful coast with the dog. The house has everything you need (and more!), it is clean but, in my opinion, a bit tired looking. Extremely comfortable beds and sofas! Loved watching the birds feeding in the garden from the warmth of the cosy interior sun lounge area.

This was genuinely like coming into someone’s home, who just happened not to be there. There was milk in the fridge, teas and coffee, condiments and spices - and all the usual towels etc left out. We felt truly at home, and relaxed from the first minutes.

Just what we needed!
Helen's bungalow delivers on all counts. It's well positioned (close to the beaches, the sea, shops, restaurants, etc), well equipped and has a lovely patio and enclosed rear garden. There was plenty of hot water for baths and showers and the central heating and gas fire were both used to ensure our stay was comfortable and warm, despite some cooler weather outside (well, it was November). Our drive down from inside the M25 was straightforward and we saw loads of wild ponies as we came through the new forest en-route. I am sure we will return!

Perfect holiday rental
The bungalow is in such a wonderful location for exploring the Christchurch area. Short walk to the beach, either through the nature reserve or along the road way. The high street with all its amenities is also easily accessible. The bungalow itself is very well equipped and has a beautiful garden if you didn’t want to venture far.

Close to perfect
The location is perfect for walks with the dog. The house has a cosy atmosphere, particularly the lovely little sun room overlooking the garden. The kitchen had all of the utensils and appliances one could need. We loved it and would certainly love to return.

We had a really lovely stay. The location is wonderful and a short walk to the beach. The area is quiet - no road noise at all. Made for a peaceful stay. Lots of birds to watch whilst enjoying a cup of tea. Very easy to get lost there just watching them :) Check in was easy and owner very helpful.

Home away from home
We had not at all anticipated such a lovely property in such a lovely quiet neighbourhood. The property was a proper home and the owners have gone so some lengths to provide for a superb holiday. It was well appointed and lacked nothing as far as we were concerned. We would gladly ask to stay again.

Spacious well equipped bungalow
Lovely position- close to beaches and great walks. Garden was beautiful and very quiet- and completely dog safe for our small terrier! Really enjoyed our holiday there especially the variety of birds.

Fabulous Bungalow!
Another wonderful holiday in this fabulous bungalow. The location and standard of accommodation is excellent with everything you could possibly need for an extremely enjoyable stay. The communication with Helen prior to our visit was very good and the house information folder is very comprehensive with many superb recommendations. It was such a pleasure to sit in the beautiful, peaceful garden amongst the glorious pots of full of spectacular, colourful plants watching the birds come down to the feeding station. We look forward to returning again.

Lovely place to stay!
The bungalow was just as described and very comfortable. Garden was perfect and so secure for our dogs. Owners were kind enough to help out with a family issue at the time of our visit and although it wasn’t needed we were very grateful for the proffered help. So close to the beach and a nice walk down through Chewton Bunny. Great location for a family holiday.

Super location
We all enjoyed the lovely mature garden, not overlooked, fully enclosed for dogs with many visits from the birds. The bungalow is in a great location, 10 minutes walk through the Bunny and then to Highcliffe beach. The cliff hanger cafe is a super place to lookout to the Isle of Wight. The Bungalow is very clean and well equipped, timely communication with the host, and good instructions in the bungalow.

Short break by the sea.
We had a lovely short break here, wanted to be close to the sea in a nice setting. This was a perfect house to stay in with everything you could need, plenty of space with a beautiful garden. Especially liked the reading chairs facing the garden. Would definitely Come back again.

Stayed for a long weekend it was a wonderful bungalow and didn’t use the car once as everything was on the door stop. Host was very helpful with tips on where to eat etc. spent hours sitting in the bay window just watching the wildlife

This property will exceed your expectations.
The description of the property and the location raised our expectations, we weren't disappointed. Both property and location were perfect. I am less able and walk with the assistance of crutches. The bungalow was easy for me to negotiate, as was the shower and more importantly, the bed and pillow were very comfortable. Other positives were that the property is dog friendly, the driveway generous swallowing up our two vehicles and the gardens delightful. I would recommend this property to family and friends.

Great Location with everything you need
We rented the property for a short break visiting family with our dog Ronnie. Everything was very smooth, the property is spacious, very clean and well equipped. The location is excellent, just a 10 minute walk to the beach and basic shops are nearby. It was very quiet with a lovely outlook into the pretty garden. Maybe some of the elements need a bit of updating, but it was fine for a short break. Thanks for everything and apologies for leaving our dog bowls, hope someone else can use them!

Peaceful half term holiday haven
Visited October half term on a short 5 day break with ypung child and dog. Extremely peaceful and comfortable bungalow with everything you might need. Superb quiet location with hidden gem access to the beach via the ‘bunny’ and great base for exploring liocally. Loved watching the gatden squirrels and even the woodpecker made an appearance! Local Oaks pub restaurant was fabulous for evening meal as was The Paddle on tge high street for a pre departure brunch. So much to see and do, hosts friendly and accommodating so wouldn’t hesitate to recommend a stay here.

Exactly what we wanted!
Perfectly located for what we wanted - easy access to natural beach and walks with our dogs, and to meet up with friends and family at Holbourne Naismith and Barton on Sea, without needing to drive. The property is spacious, beautifully clean and well equipped. This was our second time staying, and we will definitely be back again.

We loved our week at this very clean very comfy bungalow . My mum and I visited family in the area and the location of this bungalow is perfect . We didn’t want to leave . So much to do in the local area . . And not too far beyond . So many places we didn’t get to . Doggy came too and loved the beach walks . Dog towels and covers provided . Hengistbury head was a fave beach . Beautiful new forest villages . Couldn’t ask for better . Thankyou Helen .

Great place to rest and reset
Second visit to this property and will definitely be returning again. It has everything that you need for a great getaway ranging from kitchen/cooking utensils, board games, TV and great outdoor space. The neighbourhood is very quiet and the neighbours very friendly. A short walk to the sea and short drive to the New Forest and other beaches. Lots to do locally or just sit and watch the birds in the garden.

Superb location and great house.
Spent 4 nights in August 2022. Loved the property, the location and the general area. The bungalow is really comfortable, well-equipped and, above all, it works as a space. Lovely, very private, garden with loads of places to sit and lie. Everything works, everything is comfortable - well-equipped kitchen and plenty of space everywhere. A really comfortable place to spend time, either inside or in the garden, 10 minute stroll to the beach. First 50 yards along the road then the rest along a lovely forest path. The beach itself is 2 miles of sand one direction, two of pea shingle in the other. Lovely family atmosphere there when we visited. The property owner was very helpful and responsive to our queries before we arrived. Thoroughly recommend.

Perfect holiday stay
A lovely, comfortable bungalow with plenty of room for 4 adults. The property was clean and well equipped, with a beautiful, peaceful garden and plenty of parking. We loved the easy, 10 minute walk to the beach and were grateful for the shops and pubs within walking distance. Helen was a great host, with timely and clear communication. We'd definitely stay here again.

Lovely property with everything you need and very peaceful. Loved getting up in the morning's and watching the birds and squirrels in the garden. Literally 5 mins walk to a lovely sandy beach with great waves for body boarding. Loads to do in the area too

Property comfortable but tired. Blinds at patio door old one door had none. No blind on back door Bathroom window was cracked across. Loose slab at bottom of steps needs sorting. Chairs in front of patio door inside were very old and one had loose leg. Beds were excellent.

Fantastic peaceful break
The property was excellent, everything we needed for a much needed break. The property was warm and homely and very comfortable. 5 star family and dog friendly accommodation in a fantastic location
Everything about the property was faultless. The owners have really anticipated what people might need to have a stress free stay. The property itself is very spacious and airy and the garden is gorgeous and safe for dogs. The owners have provided information on the local area which was very helpful. We found the location perfect for visiting the beaches and found lots to do within 30 mins drive for when it wasn't beach weather. Thoroughly recommend this property and hope to return in the future.

A very relaxing break

Well equipped, comfortable, five star cleanliness, great garden with plenty of seating area in a lovely sunny spot, with entertainment from the birds, with well stock bird feeders. Decking for furniture, and BBQ for alfresco eating weather permitting!!
