Valentine’s Day stay. Room was perfect, clean, cosy and had everything we needed. The roll top bath in the room was the added bonus for a romantic stay. We were warmly welcomed, excellent and friendly staff, superb breakfast and we will definitely be back! Thankyou, and congratulations on your engagement!
Very nice accommodation but our room was very small. Thought I booked two single beds but had a small double bed that wasn't that comfortable. The breakfast was awesome!
We had a great stay, right from first arrival to departure the staff couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was really tasty and there was a good choice. We will definitely be returning, thank you
We were disappointed at the size and comfort of the bed, a double with a very firm mattress. It was the one thing that let the room down as a result didn't get a good sleep. Breakfast first morning very average, a bit over done and slow. Second morning breakfast was better
Liked everything. Immaculate throughout. Spotlessly clean. Lovely cooked to order breakfast. Great coffee and fresh orange juice. Great location. Quality furnishings. Comfy bed.
The hotel itaelfnis nice enough though overpriced for what you get. My poor review however concerns the unwelcoming customer service. I explained i was visitinf to attend a family funeral. Indidnt appreciate a chivvying email demanding an eta and then a peremptory further demand i be there by 9. Condolences would d have been nice. I was there nesrly an hour before 9 arriving in pouring rain to locked up hotel ans a request to call. You didnt answer. Luckily a passer by knew where you lived and went and found you. You then couldn't find my booking. Tokd me it was single wheb it was double and quoted me someone elses name. No apology. Just bad grace after racing from a funeral and left in pouring rain.shoddy customer service in the extreme. Couldn't wait to leave the next day to escape the sour mood. I have never felt so unwelcome
You do not belong in hospitality.
Absolutely lovely hotel with charming staff. Was visiting the Chichester Festival Theatre for the first time and will definitely stay here when next I come
Only stayed one night but room was lovely and hosts were very friendly. Lovely outdoor area but weather did not permit us to avail sadly. Would definitely stay again.
We had a lovely stay in this beautiful hotel. Close to the centre but in a quiet road. Beautifully decorated with lots of thoughtful attention to detail. Excellent breakfast. Charming hosts.
Extremely friendly staff. Comfortable clean room. Very safe building, requiring a physical key to enter not only the room but the main entry during night hours.
Quiet, nicely appointed room , lovely dining room and gardens, convenient to city center and Minerva Theatre. Charming hosts. Excellent English breakfast!
Great hotel would definitely stay here again and very clean room and building. Only negative was there were no bath towels in room but had brought my own so it was ok!
The beautifully appointed room was comfortable and spotless. Breakfast was delicious and the owners went the extra mile for us. We would recommend this hotel and can't wait to visit again.
Spent one night here and wished I’d been able to stay longer. East Walls is a lovely small hotel with an affable, funny, and very welcoming proprietor. I stayed on the ground floor overlooking the garden, and the room was well-appointed and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, and the hotel readily held my bags all day after I checked out and while I explored Chichester. Highly recommend.
Breakfast was excellent. The property is located very conveniently in the center of the city.
The so-called "available parking" is located a quarter of a mile away in a public parking lot. Its overnight meter has be fed by 8:00 a.m.
The bathroom was tiny.
We were here during the heatwave, and there is no A/C at this property. The window had to stay open all night to make the room comfortable and cigarette smoke from people smoking in the garden kept drifting in. The best investment the owners could make would be to buy portable fans for each room (asked for but not provided) to make their guests comfortable .
I wish that had more than one day and night to spend at East Walls. Check-in and out was easy and friendly. Unfortunately, the weather was incredibly hot the day I arrived. It would have been nice to have a fan available in the room. By the time I arrived back at the Inn from the Chichester Festival the evening air was cool and very comfortable. My room, even with the window open, never cooled down sufficiently to sleep comfortably. The extreme heat was out of everyone’s control and with the comfort of all the Inn’s amenities — my stay would have been more enjoyable had I been able to sleep more comfortably. Thank for the lovely hospitality though!
