The service was EXCELLENT! The staff is very friendly and cozy. The only thing I didn’t like was that there were ants in our room. But I’m guessing that’s because we ate there. Me and my husband loved it and would definitely recommend to our friends.

Hotel was very nice and the upgrade we received was great. The only knock or issues I had was the Air Conditioner did not do well at night and the shampoo and soap was tiny little bottles. Not enough to wash one person much less two

Staff members entered my room here while I was gone with do not disturb sign on door took a bottle of alcohol from bar area and entered private space with all my belongings this is unexcusable unexceptionable and down right wrong to enter a guests room that has a do not disturb sign on the door take liquor from bar area I have been sober for going on 4 years Do not trust or stay at this place under any circumstances.

I was upgraded on arrival and received a beautiful gift basket! Aoy sp?the concierge was wonderful and gave us good advice. Room was comfortable and clean, breakfast good. Night Market is walkable. Would recommend and will stay there again.

Love the Empress!
I love the Empress! I managed to extend my trip to 14 days and loved my stay! The tour advisors were amazing and helpful for everything including finding me a pharmacy that carried my allergy medicine. Thx pool is fantastic and all the staff are very helpful! The breakfast is large meeting all needs.

The hotel was great except for one major factor! The internet didn't work for several days, despite my reporting it nothing was done to repair it and when they did attempt to repair it, it still didn't work. Everything else was luxury in the hotel.

The staff was very accommodating and the breakfast buffet was very good. It wasn’t as close as I would have wanted to some places, but it was easy to get a taxi or tuktuk. I would stay here again.

Excellent value with nice big rooms. Gym is underwhelming. 4 treadmills but only one that was in working condition. Breakfast was lacking a bit for me as it had few healthy options. I would have loved a granola option, with nuts, etc. I’m sure it would be fine for most people. The pool was very nice and the staff was excellent. For the price I think I got a good value despite a few shortcomings.

I chose The Empress Hotel Chiang Mai after my VRBO reservation was abruptly cancelled. The front desk staff were EEY WELCOMING and ACCOMMODATING from the onslaught. The empathy for my situation was deeply appreciated. The room was clean and calming. The staff gave me good information where to find something to eat and other things. Overall, I was extremely impressed and pleased with the service provided by the Empress and staff🙏

Everything great except the breakfast
We have stayed at the Empress several times. Love the location, helpful staff, nice rooms. Unfortunately their breakfast has become even less American friendly. Choices include premade bits of waffle, mediocre omelette, or toast. Even the coffee was bad. Our group ate very little and we were very disappointed
