“Did the job.”
Few points, hotel ok, staff friendly, good out of town location, enjoyed the pool. King guest bed actually two twins with different bed heights, really odd, stains on the curtains and the shower door fell off and didn't fit meaning the water leaked onto floor.Only stayed one night so didn't take it up with staff. Evening buffet a good idea and a nice selection.
“Nice enough”
Very pleasant modern decor, decent leisure facilities (but too crowded for a tranquil spa experience). Ours was a weekend stay - lots of weddings who tended to take over the public areas and bar. MPW restaurant offers tasty grilled meats and great service but seriously over-priced.
“nice hotel let down by itsy bitsy issues”
Check in assistant was monotoneretty and unfriendly. No battery in room safe. Heated towel radiator didn't work & curtains didn't meet, so a shaft of light came through at night. When I mentioned these points on departure the assistant seemed under-enthusiastic about logging them as issues to resolve for future guests. There were not enough plugs in the room to charge up phones / work appliances Breakfast queue was too long on Sunday morning & the breakfast offering was average. Overall what is a lovely hotel - in a great location on the edge of Chester - was let down by under attention to detail and fairly average service.
