The Tides Inn was a lovely resort. We attended a wedding and overall the food, service, staff were fantastic. It is a great place to go and relax. Our room overlooked the bay.

“A great experience”

My husband and I really enjoyed our recent stay at The Tides. After reading other reviews about small rooms, I booked a suite and was quite pleased with the room and it's view of the water. Being an older property, I am not sure the soundproofing is as good as newer properties but it wasn't a major problem. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We got to know several on a first name basis during our stay. The food was very good (although pricey). Overall, I would characterize it as a lovely, regional inn that is worth the price if you are in the mood for a splurge. We plan to return.

“Beautiful surroundings”

First, I will say that The Tides Inn was a delightful place with attentive staff in a beautiful waterfront setting. I would not hesitate to return. The room (a Lancaster House suite) was spacious, with an enormous bathroom and a soaking tub with a large diameter shower head directly above. The bedroom had floor to ceiling windows with a balcony looking out at the waterfront. The only negative points- the bed was a bit lumpy and hard to get comfortable in, and there must have been some maintenance performed on the pipes. When I got into the soaking tub and turned on the shower, I looked at my feet and saw water so dirty it even turned the washcloth brown. But what can you do? Systems must be maintained. It was fine the next morning after I let the system flush for about 30 minutes.
