Charming little chateau on the outskirts of Chinon, beautiful grounds and rural setting. attentive friendly staff, almost all who spoke enough English that my lack of French was not an issue. Fabulous 5 star resturant, easily our best meal in France.

Room wasn't ready when we arrived, but that wasn't a problem as we headed straight to the pool. When we went to the room it was very clean with no tatty fittings. We were on the 3rd (top) floor and had a fantastic view of the Chateaux in the town. We walked into Chinon in the evening (only 10 minutes away over the river) for a nice meal before a very comfortable night. The breakfast was very good value (and tasty). And the reception staff were very helpful contacting (and translating where necessary) the reception staff at the next stop on our stay. We would stop off here again.

Small private no frills hotel but with very friendly "hands on" owners who did everything they could to make our stay pleasant. Good breakfast, good location, good value.

Lovely members of staff who gave us lots of time and useful local information. very convenient location - free parking in car park opposite. Ask to stay in the maison bourgeois or the main old hotel.

I enjoyed staying here primarily because it was great to walk around the area - very little traffic, visiting the wineries. Having a bicycle would have been ideal. The place is extremely pleasant and the reception / staff were very friendly. 5 stars.

Everthing you could want for a quiet self catering holiday.Very friendly courteous staff in bar and restaurant, food in evening high quality but with limited choice, but at an appropriate price. Parking can be a problem if returning late at night, had to park outside once.The residence was very close to local Intermarche. We would have appreciated more in room information about the facilities and local attractions.We would definately consider again if we were in the region in the future.

We have stayed regularly at this hotel and the kindness and consideration of the management and staff cannot be beaten. The decor is traditionally French.
