Amazing experience
The hotel stay was incredible. The view of Mont Blanc was great. They have superb hospitality and go above and beyond to make sure that your stay is comfortable. The rooms have a nice cabin feel and the sauna was nice and quaint. It is also waking distance to the city center and ski lifts.

Wonderful place
This hotel was wonderful overall. Perfect location overlooking the snowy hills. Superbly clean, smiling and helpful staff. It's walking distance to Chamonix Centre and easy access to busses to major slopes. Decoration has a very warm chalet feeling in the rooms and by the fireplace in the lobby and in very good condition. Highly recommending this place.

Our room was clean and comfortable, with a cozy upscale cabin feel. We could order many different selections of tasty food all day long, and eat in the dining room, garden, lounge, or room. The garden was beautiful, with many seating options around the fountain, stream, or saunas. There was even a little reading room, a chicken coop and vegetable garden to visit. The Hermitage was a peaceful retreat from the UTMB crowds, yet an easy walk from city center.

Everyone on staff are very accommodating for all of our needs. The room has been remodeled which makes updates for the bathroom especially nice. The outdoor park is perfect for gathering with family for a drink or ice cream.

The hotel is a beautiful traditional hotel in a quiet part of Chamonix but only 5 mins walk to the town centre. The hotel is beautifully presented and the gardens are stunning. The hotel is family owned and run and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back!

Property and people were great and made our stay really special. We would have liked coffee and tea facilities in the room. Sauna and hot tub made it feel special. Lovely and quirky detail. Lovely lounge area with amazing cake after skiing. Breakfast a little expensive at €18.50 per adult. Evening food a little limiting but cheese, charcuterie and soups were amazing. We would definitely book again....and probably will. Thanks Expedia

great hotel in a not so great town
the hotel was very nice clean and comfortable. The staff were helpful and attentive whenever we needed. Town was too touristic and all about the money grab and locals were not pleasant to deal with. Scenery was great just dont expect great treatment from the area, shame to have such a nice area like this. Also everything closed so early and shops difficult to find

I'll be back!
Great hotel in an excellent location. The staff was friendly, helpful and spoke English. The hotel grounds are well kept and extremely pretty. My room looked to be newly renovated with what looked to be recycled wood floors and trim. It had a large walk in closet and a small but sufficiently appointed bathroom. Two singles were tethered together to make a king for me. Bedding was clean and comfortable. The best part was a nice little deck over looking the valley. The mornings brought a Buffett style breakfast with a wide variety of items to choose. I would usually take my coffee out to the garden in front to enjoy the beautiful view when it wasn't raining. In the evenings you could get drinks served either inside at one of several comfy seating areas or outside on the patio or in the garden. It's located roughly a 7-10 min stroll from the center of Chamonix.

This is a really lovely hotel in a good location lovely gardens and spa, it is in an ideal location for all activities, restaurants and town centre. The staff couldn't do enough for us, we will definately stay here when we return to Chamonix xx

The Hermitage is an outstanding place to stay top to bottom. The owners make every detail count. The staff is excellent, the chalets are perfect, and overall this was a great way to spend our holiday in Chamonix!

I recently stayed at Hotel Hermitage during the UTMB running festival. The staff were incredibly friendly and accomodating and even knew my race results when I arrived back to the hotel! The hotel itself is beautiful. The style is that of a luxurious cabin. I knew I had made the right decision as soon as I walked into the foyer. The location is a short few minute walk to the city centre. I found this great because you are close to everything, but you still benefit from a quiet surrounding (I could open the balcony doors and not hear traffic, pedestrians , etc). The location is also great for views of Monte Blanc (if your room faces that side).

Hotel on the side of cenral Chamonix
Positives: hotel staff are friendly and helpful Negatives: poor value for money. room was split into two and as a result small in the individual sections. Chamonix is not a place where you can ski directly from the hotel, so we could have stayed in a number of other places which were more central and avoided more walk.

Lovely stay in La Maisonee
We stayed in la Maisonee, a charming 3 bedroom 2 bathroom small house with it's own private enclosed yard. Reception was very friendly and helpful, location was an easy walk into the center of town. We appreciated having a kitchen and dining room so we could fix meals for our 2 toddlers, also enjoyed having the play structure on site with swings and a slide.

An Extremely Nice and Comfortable Place to Stay
We went to Chamonix/Mont Blanc for a long weekend. When booking, I decided to go the Mont Blanc view. The view was terrific. The room was wonderful and the layout provided maximum use of the space. The semi-walk in closet with lots of shelves was great. The room safe was large enough for two cameras, some large lenses, and other valuables. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and professional. I mean all of the staff. What a nice group of people. The breakfast was very good as was the food we had in the evening. Though not cheap, it was definitely worth the money. Finally, there is plenty of free hotel parking. The wifi is free and signals are strong throughout the main hotel building.

Quiet, comfortable, higher-end place.
We stayed there for the UTMB/PTL run. Nice rooms, fantastic breakfast, quiet location yet just a short walk from town center (actually perfect for the UTMB due to the proximity to the sports center). Our room had great mountain views as well. Definitely will stay there again if the opportunity arises.

Welcome respite from the heavy rain; allowed us into our rooms early for a long shower (perhaps no respite!), good common areas/bar, quiet, comfortable and well priced with an excellent breakfast buffet on offer.

Missing some key points to be worth it
Big let downs are the non-working wifi and no water or coffee in the rooms, also a bit dusty but was advised on check-out "that's all the wood and we have had computer problems". Still the same price charged!!!!
