"Great place and very kid friendly. We had to leave early due to a family emergency but the time there was great. The only gripe is the internet is very slow. Very difficult to work remotely. This isn’t anything the owner can control or upgrade. The building needs new wiring to support better technology than DSL running over old phone line."

"The original room we were in had an air conditioner that just was not cooling our room so my husband asked at front desk if something could be done & they moved us to another room and it was excellent!!! Front desk guy was great!!! Very happy. Room was clean & comfy beds!!"

"My room number was 105, 1st floor in Alleghany Springs. The dishwasher needed to be reattached to the wall, the 2 screws were clearly sitting on the counter above, but this was not repaired before our stay. Each time opened, the DW jarred forward, ugh! The room was clean, & adequate for the 4 of us, realizing that sofa beds are never the most comfortable. "

"Overall, a very nice room and property. We had a couple problems with electronic key access (to our room and to the front door). While inconvenient, staff always addressed the problems quickly. Make sure you read the check-in instructions and look over maps so you know where to check, etc. Overall, very nice...we will be back and stay in the Highland House."
