Catania stay
Hotel was good, decent location. The bed was good and firm, shower was fine, breakfast basic but decent. Staff really pleasant. There was a lack of sockets for charging and the wi-fi wasn't great. The room had a small balcony and the building was lovely.

They could not find our reservation. I have booked a triple room for 74 €, we got a double for me, my wife and our teen daughter. It cost 80 € for one night. It is cold everywhere in this "hotel", the guests had breakfast with their jackets on. The breakfast is ridiculous, you'd better eat somewhere outside. The shower was a disaster, the only good thing there was plenty of hot water.

The hotel entrance is so wild – guests have to ring the bell for door to open and then go upstairs with a very small elevator; the rooms that face the main road are terribly noise. Breakfast is too basic – the same every day. No extra socket in room to charge phone/computer. The property needs major modernisation.

Central hotel, very near airport bus stop and principal shopping street. Lots of good restaurants nearby in all price ranges. Hotel is old fashioned in a good way but breakfast is no more than acceptable.

Family run charm
The location of this hotel is ideal. Many cafes and shops nearby also a beautiful park. The very lively food + more market is at the end of the street. Also the stop for ALIbus to & from the Airport is very close. This is a family run hotel and they make you feel right at home.

Cute but a little tired
The hotel is fine, if a little run down. The night clerks were quite friendly and recommended a good restaurant nearby. The room was big but the toilet made a very loud and long moaning sound when flushed. The high and ornately decorated ceiling was a highlight. The WiFi didn’t really work for me.

A welcome holiday!
Hotel is very clean, and its location is excellent as it is near all that is needed during a holiday: bus terminus, train station and to the shopping centre. I gladly recommend this Hotel to who intends to visit Catania I would gladly make use of it again myself.

beautiful hotel but be aware.
Hotel and service was great. Only two things made it unpleasant. 1. WiFi service was the worst I've experienced in Italy. 2. I was overcharged one day but couldn't communicate that to the lady and was late getting to the train station. I even pulled up my confirmation on my phone showing the daily rate and total. Not pleased.

Simple but good value hotel in central location.
Stayed for two nights in May. Location was great, very central. Room was large, with a balcony overlooking rear courtyard, not pretty but quiet. Hotel only 3 stars but reasonable value.

Great value in the center of town
This place is hard to describe, elegant walls and ceilings but certainly not a luxury hotel. It is a perfect location. There was WiFi in the lobby only which is becoming a deal breaker for me these days. Breakfast was basic, coffee, croissant, juice, yogurt. Nobody speaks English which made it difficult to get directions, etc. At $52 for a single this place is a bargain.

Very Nice Stay
The family running the hotel is very nice. Although we could not speak Italian, we were able to communicate easily. The hotel is located right of Via Etnea where all the shopping is. The room was clean and quite large. We were served breakfast and the cappuccinos were delicious.

Well, between 2 worlds, very well located and internet works well.On the negative points, breakfast is not worth offering, single bed too uncomfortable and small, glass shower door loose and partly broken which could prove to be dangerous, worse on the first day I requested an extra pillow which maid provided after 30 mts with the no disturb sign on the young receptionist on duty knocked and started arguing why I disturbed the maid ? Found this very strange as the maid was very kind.I do not take it lightly to be disturbed for no reason while I am resting!

I was treated like family!
I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Gresi very much. The owner had this big smile, was wonderful to me and made me feel very welcomed. He helped me out finding my way around and answered a lot if questions I had. The breakfast was Italian style of course, but for those accustomed to eating an American style breakfast I have to say that it was very filling, I was very full for 3-4 hours. It consisted of a coffee of choice (cappuccino, espresso, latte, etc.), a yoghurt, a huge croissant with assorted jellies/Nutella and also came with a glass of grapefruit juice. The room was great, very clean, air conditioned, with a TV and a safe, and was very cozy. The location is excellent, only a few steps away from the Main Street that takes you directly to the main square. There are tons of stores, many restaurants, gelatterias and all sorts of things to see in the area. There is also an ATM machine only a short block away. I spent 3 nights at this hotel and I would go back. The only one issue I had was the internet connection in my room that I lost it at times, but no problems in the common areas. It might have been my room location.

Hotel with sicilian soul
I was not satisfied with WI-FI connection. It has been working only in the lobby, in the room only occasionally. Because of my work it was frustrating. Bar in the room was empty but you can buy a drink in the near by store. In general the ambient was nice and pleasant, the elderly owners (it is family hotel) are nice and polite. More convenient for tourists than business trip, at night and in the morning could be a little noisy - no noise isolation. Very good location.

Hotel in una laterale di via Etnea comodissimo al parcheggio multipiano Bellini. Palazzo storico con camera spaziosa, affrescata e con balconcino su cortile interno. Ascensore. Arredamento un pò retrò ma coerente con il contesto. Colazione con dolce e salato. Tutti gentili. Reception 24h24. Ritorneremo sicuramente.

L’hotel è bello e le camere sono spaziose e pulite. Gli asciugamani in numero sufficiente vengono cambiati ogni giorno. Presente il set di cortesia. L’ingresso è invece abbastanza fatiscente. Poco comodo avere la reception ad un piano e la stanza in un altro piano, ma tutti i piani sono serviti dall’ascensore. La sala colazioni è piccola e è capitato che abbiamo dovuto aspettare che altri si alzassero. I tavoli sono coperti da plastica; sarebbe carino e anche più igienico una tovaglietta usa e getta. La colazione per noi è stata più che sufficiente. I cornetti caldi sono serviti dal personale, uno a testa, ma se si chiedono degli altri li portano subito. Nel buffet ci sono fette biscottate, yogurt, frutta, acqua, pane da tostare, marmellata, miele e nutella. Per chi preferisce il salato, prosciutto cotto e formaggio. La posizione è centralissima, a due passi da via Etnea e vicina a ristoranti, pub, street food e pasticcerie.

Posizione perfetta. Da rinnovare un po’ l’arredo e definire politiche green (non serve buttare le saponette in dotazione, una volta utilizzate). Colazione un po’ anni 80 con cibi di scarsa qualità (prosciutto, formaggio e pane del discount) e poco vari.

La posizione è veramente comodissima. Praticamente sul corso principale e comodissimo a tutto anche alla fermata dell'autobus che ti riporta in aereoporto.
