A beautiful, peaceful, private place to relax
A super holiday. The location is superb with many places of interest within a 1 hour drive. Pool was maintained well and clean. We had a great 2 weeks.

The perfect view
We had a wonderful time staying at No5 Ristonchia; the pool is excellent, the house is spacious and comfortable and it was an excellent base for visits to Perugia, Arezzo and Siena. We would recommend it very highly.

JUST BEAUTIFUL!
This place was everything that I had hoped for. Such a beautiful well kept spot! Plenty of space for all. Vincienzo was always so helpful with any questions. Raffaella, the local cook, and her son (Vincienzo's recommendation) prepared 2 dinners for us that were amazing. The near by towns were lovely. I would recommend this place to anyone and would love to go back!

Rustic retreat
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Pool area is fab with plenty sun beds and chairs . The host is easily contacted and gave us a couple of good recommendations for restaurants. Property is well equipped and the netflix on the TV was a big hit for the kids.

Picturesque villa in the Tuscan hills
Gorgeous views in a quiet and picturesque hillside setting just outside Castiglion Fiorentino. We loved the pool, the breakfast nook and surrounding olive groves. Perfect location far enough from town for quiet relaxation but close enough to Cortona and even Montepulciano for fun day trips. Perfect size for 4 adults and 2 kids. Would definitely recommend!

Great location, incredible views, big swimming pool
This lovely old farmhouse is surrounded by hectares of olive groves & woodland with panoramic views across rural Tuscany featuring beautiful sunrises & sunsets. It’s hidden away up an incline off the road terminating in the small village of Ristonchia, so no through traffic makes it secluded and peaceful. A standout feature of the farmhouse is its generously sized pool which is well kept by a maintenance man and a pool cleaning robot. It isn’t heated so was a bit cold on some days in September. The shallow end is perfect for children and less confident swimmers, while the very deep end is lovely for diving & floating. There’s lots of indoor & outdoor space including dining room, two lounge areas and outside eating area. Calling the farmhouse “ideal for 10 people” is perhaps a bit of a stretch. It could accommodate two families with children with its two double rooms (one with a cot), two twin rooms (with quite small beds) and two bathrooms. The beds aren’t the most comfortable (the four poster is split into two single mattresses). The kitchen and downstairs bathroom are a little dated and we missed having a kettle. The upstairs bathroom was very nice but the bath could do with a shower screen. We were met by the non-English speaking maintenance man, who came daily to tend to the pool; we were otherwise given complete privacy. The host lives away so we did not meet him in person, but he was available and responsive by WhatsApp. Being in the middle of the countryside there are plenty of creepy crawlies around. The small lizards and butterflies are fascinating to watch. We rescued a few frogs from the pool. We did find a couple of scorpions indoors but the only creatures that really bothered us were wasps who were trying to nest in one of the parasols by the pool and pestered us constantly. The host was responsive in trying to deal with the problem. The nearest town is Castiglion Fiorentino which is a walled town with narrow streets full of shops, cafes, restaurants and a museum. We particularly recommend Ristorante Da Muzzicone for truffles & steak. There are also nearby wine producers offering tours and wine tasting. Nestled in the middle of Tuscany, you’re well placed to explore the walled towns of Arezzo to the North and Cortona to the South and drive through the scenic Val di Chiana and Val d’Orcia. Siena and Florence also within fairly easy reach and Lake Trasimeno and Assisi are just across the border in Umbria. Lovely relaxing holiday.

A Truly Wonderful Holiday
We had a wonderful stay from the moment we arrived and were met by Vincenzo's mother - Maria, who welcomed us and showed us around, to the moment we reluctantly left 4 weeks later. The house is situated high in the hills, the location and views are incredible. The house itself is a true renovated Tuscan farmhouse, with some original features retained and was a delight to stay in. Many days spent relaxing by the pool, which is kept in pristine condition by Duoro, who visits daily very early in the morning so as not to disturb anyone. Duoro was also on hand to keep us supplied with local wine and to immediately sort out any minor issues. We had Raffaella, a local lady, come to the house twice to cook us traditional Tuscan food; a wonderful experience and shouldn't be missed. Many evenings we drove into the nearby town of Castiglion Foirentino, walking through the narrow streets and calling into the bars and we had a memorable meal at Da Muzzicone. Vincenzo is a great host and always responded quickly to any questions we had and suggested places for us to visit. We would definitely highly recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in Tuscany.

A perfect villa for a large family
Our first time in Italy and what a first impression. Vincezo's Villa is gorgeous. Spacious well equipped and clean. The views are stunning and the pool was well used. In all we spent 10 days here and can honestly say it's one of the best holidays I've had. Cortona and Assisi are a must to visit, along with Florence, although take the toll road to the tram stop just north of Florence and tram in, so much easier.

WOW! Amazing Holiday!!!
We spent 2 fantastic weeks here with our large family, and would have happily stayed longer! The views from the Villa were breathtakingly beautiful - to wake up and see that every morning was a blessing. Olive groves, countryside and sky - so much sky!! The Villa was very comfortable, well equipped and full of Rustic Charm, and came with Wi-Fi and Netflix. Vincenzo was a very attentive and helpful owner, who was available at any time and responded immediately to any enquiries. His mother met us at the Villa and was lovely, we were provided with a sample of their beautiful Extra Extra virgin Olive oil, which was INCREDIBLE and some local wine which was also delicious. The Pool is as amazing as the photos suggest - we spent every day diving and cooling off in there - very well maintained. Amenities, local supermarkets and restaurants are just a short drive away - we had some lovely meals in Castiglion Fiorentino with amazing views over looking the hills and town below - oh and the Gelato is simply SCRUMMY!!!! Would certainly recommend and would love to return for another amazing adventure - thank you Vincenzo!

Fantastic !!!!!
This is a lovely large rustic farmhouse which is well equipped and furnished even with wifi and smart TV if needed but this is not why you would come here. The views from the house are astounding and uninterrupted .The terrace and outdoor veranda are wonderful places to enjoy eating or playing games day or night. The pool is excellent ,clean and well maintained with a splendid diving board to add to the fun. We managed to find hillside tracks for walking and also off road cycling close to the house and local towns like Cortona are only 20mins drive away . Vincenzo is a friendly and helpful owner and his mother who greeted us is a lovely and informative lady ,she even took us to a local wine producer down the road where we purchased excellently priced and tasting white and red wine. We are large family of 7 with a dog and this house accommodated us well , I cannot fault this lovely property ,location or stay in any way , and would highly recommend.

Wir hatten eine sehr tolle Woche in dem Haus. Das Haus ist natürlich nicht das Neueste und ist nicht sonderlich gut isoliert, weshalb es sich immer sehr aufgeheizt hat. Ansonsten kann man an der Sauberkeit des Geschirrs noch arbeiten. Dennoch hatten wir eine tolle Zeit.

Het huis is zoals precies beschreven in de advertentie en foto’s: ruim, propere badkamers. Niets op aan te merken. Misschien zou muggengaas voor de ramen nog een pluspunt zijn maar dat is een detail. Het uitzicht en het grote zwembad is magisch. Qua locatie is het overal vlakbij, maar toch afgelegen zodat onze kinderen luid konden spelen in het zwembad zonder iemand te storen.

Genauso, wie erwartet, top!
Alles war genauso wie es in der Anzeige beschrieben war. Die Landschaft ist wunderschön und auch das Landhaus war sehr idyllisch und gemütlich. Genau die richtige Größe für 10 Leute. Gerade der Pool war fantastisch. Alles in allem ist es absolut weiterzuempfehlen.

Wirklich sehr schön gelegenes Ferienhaus, aber...
Das Ferienhaus ist wirklich sehr schön in einem Olivenhain gelegen. Wie beschrieben, sind die nächsten Nachbarn weit weg und man ist ungestört. Die Ausstattung im Haus entspricht einigermaßen den Beschreibungen. Highlight ist der große Pool mit Sprungbrett. Dieser wurde alle 2 Tage gereinigt und war sehr sauber. Die Aufteilung im Haus ist für 2 Familien gut bis sehr gut geeignet. Die beiden Bäder wurden neu renoviert und sind die modernsten Zimmer im Haus. Was gar nicht geht, war die Sauberkeit und der Zustand mancher Möbel in dem Haus. Das Bett im EG als solches zu Bezeichnen ist gewagt und wenn erst das ganze Geschirr gespült werden muss, zeugt das nicht von großer Sorgfalt bei der Abnahme bzw. vor Übergabe. Leider sind/waren die beiden Grills auch nicht zu gebrauchen, da der eine kaputt war und der Elektrogrill für Lebensmittelzubereitung nicht geeignet war. Der Kontakt zu Vincenzo war jeder Zeit via Whatsapp und Telefon möglich und Kleinigkeiten wurden sofort erledigt. Dafür ein großes Dankeschön!

Ein tolles Haus für einen besonderen Urlaub
Das Haus hält alles, was die Anzeige versprochen hat. Es ist toll gelegen und verfügt über eine herrliche Sicht über die toskanische Hügellandschaft. Es gibt keine direkten Nachbarn, man ist dort völlig ungestört. Dennoch sind mögliche Ausflugsziele in benachbarte Orte und Städte mit dem Auto nicht weit entfernt. Die Einrichtung ist wie auf den Bildern zu erkennen zweckmäßig. Auch ohne Klimaanlage bleibt das Steinhaus trotz großer Hitze kühl genug für eine ruhige Nacht. Ventilatoren bei geöffnetem Fenster sind dann allerdings zu empfehlen. Der Vermieter Vincenzo war sehr nett und kooperativ. Als an einem Abend der Herd kaputt ging, schickte er innerhalb von kurzer Zeit jemanden, um den Schaden zu beheben. Wer großen Wert auf Sauberkeit legt, wird jedoch gezwungen sein, über ein paar Dinge hinwegzusehen. So finden sich Spinnweben an Wänden und Decken. Außerdem könnte der Pool eine häufigere Reinigung vertragen. Der Pool-Roboter wirkte bisweilen etwas überfordert bzw. ineffektiv. Während unseres Aufenthalts wurde der Pool daher etwas grün. Ansonsten ist der Pool allerdings toll, recht gross und angenehm kühl. Für uns war dieses Haus insgesamt perfekt.

Fantastisk beliggenhed
Vi er netop hjemkommet fra en dejlig familieferie. Dette er en dejlig bolig med en perfekt og ugenert beliggenhed på en bjergskråning. Her er en dejlig terrasse med en storslået udsigt og et godt pool område, hvor vi tilbragte mange timer. Huset fortjener nye terrassemøbler. Der er kort afstand til flere hyggelige gamle byer med gode restauranter og indkøbs muligheder.

Wir, Familie mit 2 Kindern, Oma und Opa und unserem Hund, verbrachten 2 wunderschöne Wochen in diesem super Anwesen. Auch wenn der Kontakt mit Vincenzo nur über WhatsApp lief, da er selbst im Urlaub war, verlief alles perfekt. Danke Vincenzo für die guten Ristorante-Tipps. Wunderschönes toskanisches Landhaus mit traumhaftem Ausblick
Das gesamte Anwesen ist wunderschön. Ein aus Stein gebautes, stilvolles toskanisches Bauernhaus, am Berg gelegen mit wundervoller großer Terrasse und einem grandiosen Ausblick ins Tal. Hier haben wir (2 Familien mit jugendlichen Kindern) uns rundum wohlgefühlt. Natürlich kann man in der Toskana viele sehr schöne Ausflugsziele besuchen. Aber an diesem wunderbaren Ort kann man auch einfach verweilen. Der gepflegte Poolbereich mit verschiedenen Liegemöglichkeiten lädt zum Entspannen und Spaß haben ein. Der geniale Pool mit Sprungbrett ist sehr groß und immer sauber. Abends kann man dann von der Terrasse aus den Sternenhimmel betrachten und es ist so ruhig und still, wie wir Städter es gar nicht mehr kennen... Alles in allem ein wundervolles Ambiente und toskanisches Flair hautnah. Nochmals tausend Dank an Vincenzo, unseren fürsorglichen Gastgeber, der stets einen guten Tipp für uns hatte und jederzeit alle unsere Fragen beantwortet hat. Danke für einen rundum tollen Urlaub!

Erholsame Ferien
Es ist ein tolles Objekt wunderbar gelegen. Wenn man sich zurückziehen will, der perfekte Ort! Zum Einkaufen braucht man 10 Minuten und hat mehrere Möglichkeiten. Riesiger Pool, der täglich gereinigt wird. Wenn wir was brauchten, konnten wir mit dem Besitzer Kontakt aufnehmen. Er hat sofort den Mann geschickt, der sich um das Objekt kümmerte. Man merkt, dass das Haus schon etwas älter ist. Kleine Anregungen: Alte ausgediehnte Sachen könnte man mal ausmisten, dies sind nur Staubfänger. Die Tische Aussen sind für eine grosse Familie zu klein. Man kann sich aber organisieren, so dass alle Platz haben. Alles in allem wunderbar, wir würden wieder gehen.

Wunderbares Anwesen in super Lage
Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt in diesem herrlichen Anwesen. Insbesondere der Außenbereich mit dem großen Pool und der tollen Aussicht laden zum Entspannen und Abschalten ein. Größere Kritikpunkte sehen wir nicht. Lediglich die Küche und die Küchenausstattung sind ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen und könnten eine Erneuerung vertragen.

Wir (Großeltern, Eltern und drei Kinder 6, 9 und 10 Jahre) haben einen wunderschönen Urlaub hier verbracht. Der Pool ist super und die Aussicht unbezahlbar. Der perfekte Tapetenwechsel in dieser Zeit.

Erholsamer Aufenthalt
Das Objekt ist sehr ruhig gelegen, aber zum Einkaufen in die nächste Stadt ist es mit dem Auto nicht weit (8 min). In Castiglion Fiorentino bekommt man alles, was man braucht und es gibt gute Restaurants. Der Pool ist ein Traum und bei 12 m Länge kann man schon richtig schwimmern. Ausflüge nach Florenz, Arezzo, Cortina und Sienna sind gut zu machen. Wir hatten einen wirklich sehr erholsamen Urlaub und haben die Zeit in dem Haus sehr genossen.

Beautiful house with a nice pool.
We spent a nice week in a beautiful house with a nice pool. The communication with Vinzenco was really easy and the check in/ check out was very uncomplicated. The house is very nice as there is a lot of space and you have a nice view. The pool is amazing and is cleaned every day. The kitchen is good as there are a lot of tools. The next opportunity to buy food is about 10 minutes away. It is a perfect house to spend time with friends!

Es war alles super, jedoch haben einige Kleinigkeiten gestört, Vorschlag ztur Optimierung: Wenn es kalt wird, mehr Mäglichkeiten schaffen, das Haus zu heizen. Kleiderhaken im Bad und kleine Ablage in der Dusche wären sinnvoll., auch eine Info, wann die Burg Monteccio Vesponi geöffnet ist.

Wunderschönes Haus mit grandioser Aussicht
Wir (2 Ew, 2 Teenager) verbrachten 10 erholsameTage in dem wunderbar gelegenen Haus. Der Blick aufs Tal und die toskanischen Hügel war super, besonders abends. Das Haus ist gepflegt, man findet alles, was man braucht. Die Raumaufteilung für uns als Familie war perfekt. Der Aussenbereich ist sehr gepflegt und das Highlight ist der tolle Pool mit Sprungbett. Das Haus liegt in den toskanischen Hügeln und man ist umgeben von fantastischer Natur. Ausflüge nach Castiglion Fiorention, Cortona, den Trasimener See und die nahe Umgebung mit den sehr schönen alten Städtchen sind sehr empfehlenswert. Der Vermieter Vincenzo war vor und während unseres Aufenthalts immer erreichbar und unsere Anliegen inkl. Restauranttipps wurden sofort beantwortet. Wir hatten sehr schöne Tage dort und ich kann dieses Haus nur weiterempfehlen.

Perfect location for relaxed holidays
Very nice house in the tuscanian hills. Beautiful sight. Nice and clean pool. Vincenzo was always available to assist with any question we had. The outside area of the house was serviced on a daily basis, so everything was just fine and we enjoyed every second. Definitely recommendable and worth coming back. Thanks for all this.

Splendid holiday!
We had a splendid holiday! We were welcomed by Douro, who only speaks Italian, but was very friendly. He showed us around ; the house is large enough for 8 - 10 persons. 2 bathrooms : in the bathroom upstairs would a seperate shower or screen on the bath give a better comfort. The matresses of the beds should be renewed, but it's far from dramatic. Large swimming pool, everyday cleaned by Douro in the morning. Beautiful view on the surroundings. Perfect service ; every question was directly answered by Vincenzo and every 'problem' solved immediately. That's holiday! The first evening we had Maria (from the B&B) who cooked for us. Great meal and service. The house is surrounded by olive trees and nature, that's why there are a lot of mosquitos starting to bother in the evening. But, like I said, it's nature and it didn't spoil our holiday. So, should you book this house? Is it worth a stay? YES YES YES!!!

Wunderbares, liebevoll gestaltetes, sehr gepflegtes Domizil
Rudolf N. Wir, 5 Erwachsene und 2 Jungs, haben 2 grandiose Wochen in dem wundervollen Haus in toskanischem Stil, wie wir es uns erträumt hatten, verbracht. Trotz der tropischen Temperaturen haben wir uns wohl gefühlt, denn das Innere des Hauses war angenehm kühl und weitläufig. Außen fanden sich in jeder Himmelsrichtung schattige Plätze. Wunderbar die riesigen Schatten spendenden Zypressen am Pool. Besonders für die Enkel war Pool mit Sprungbrett das Highlight. Abends haben wir uns alle an dem wundervollen Blick von der herrlich großen Terrasse mit unendlich vielen Blumentöpfen auf die toskanische Landschaft erfreut.

Un fabuleux séjour.
Nous avons séjourné dans une propriété somptueuse, nichée dans un environnement exceptionnel. Un grand merci à Vincenzo et sa maman pour avoir répondu à toutes nos sollicitations, et nous avoir donné tous les renseignements escomptés. Prachtige locatie, super vriendelijke gastheer, top zwembad
Prachtig gelegen en ideaal om zuid-Toscane, noord-Umbrië te ontdekken. Ook Castiglione zelf is meer dan de moeite waard om meermaals te bezoeken. Leuke accomodaties voor kinderen en volwassenen, alsook qua restaurantjes.

Oerhört vacker utsikt och fin pool
Rymligt fint hus med magisk utsikt, helt avskilt. Poolen lika fin som bilden visar. Bra service av husägaren som svarade direkt vid frågor och funderingar. Naturupplevelse med närhet till fina omgivningar med bil ....om man inte ville ta en promenad I bergen. Cortona var ett fint utflyktsmål. Inte de allra bästa sängarna, men ok.

Tolle Lage des Ferienhauses. Sehr schönes Haus. Sehr ruhige Lage - trotzdem gute und schnelle Erreichbarkeit des nächsten Ottes - Castiglion Fiorentino. Sehr nette Vermieter, die auch während des Aufenthaltes hilfreiche Tipps bezüglich Restaurants und weinverkauf haben.

Super schönes haus im olivenhain
Wir hatten 3 Wochen Aufenthalt in einem sehr schönen Haus in der Toskana mit traumhaftem ausblick. Was ein klein bisschen gestört hat, war, dass das Bad oben nur durch eins der zimmer zu erreichen war, wenn auch eine Trennwand durch schränke gestellt wurde. Das bad unten hat in der dusche ein paar lose fliesen, hinter die natürlich wasser kam, was nicht richtig trocknen konnte. Es roch dadurch etwas muffig. Trotzdem: das haus hat sehr viel italienischen charme. Eine wunderschön, grosse, gemütliche essecke. Auch dei schlafzimmer sind sehr schön. Und natürlich der tolle pool! Der vermieter war sehr nett und hilfsbereit.
