Friendly and welcoming
Friendly and welcoming on arrival. The room was quiet, clean and cosy with a spacious bathroom. The breakfast was great. We highly recommend staying here!

1 night stay
Overnight stay . Lovely welcome , convenient to park and breakfast , made to order, was lovely too. The room- dated but everything there Garden area nice - sunny was a bonus Downsides- beautiful stocked bar area but not accessible after 9, even as a resident! Just wanted a glass of red on getting back but not available as the bar closed. Totally understand if that’s the rule but wish I’d known before hand. Service was faultless apart from that .

Thank you for your review.As I said last night, the bar is open while the restaurant is open. We don't open later for drinks as there are bedrooms directly above the lounge, which isn't very pleasant if you are trying to relax in your room.

A rare find
A friendly welcome. A lovely hotel in a scenic setting. A large room with great facilities for 2 of us and our dog. Fabulous breakfast made to order. Only 40 minutes from the Irish ferry in Fishguard. Highly recommended.

Friendly, comfortable stay
This is an older property on the edge of town. Not luxurious but very comfortable. The owner is very helpful and friendly. The food and service was good. They have a restaurant on site where you pick your food and then cook it yourself at your table on a hot lava rock. It was excellent. Had a restful recovery after a long drive. Sitting area and bar were nice.

Absolutely fabulous stay
Absolutely fabulous stay. Very friendly welcome. Whole place was spotlessly clean, comfy & cosy. Perfect cooked breakfast with locally sourced items in lovely surroundings. Will definitely be returning.

Large room, modern bathroom, very clean and quiet property. Fantastic location with easy access to roads. Mac is a gentleman looking after you. Breakfast is very tasty and is pre-ordered.

Good digs but......
The accommodation was very comfortable and clean although the room was not cleaned in our 4 night stay. Some antiseptic wipes in the room could be a good idea for self cleaning of bathroom, toilet and crockery etc. The breakfast was tasty but was a choice of either continental or English. If you wanted cereal or yoghurt you could not then have any cooked items. The restaurant and bar was only open Thursday to Sunday but luckily there was another guest house/ bar a short walk up the road called 7 stars which we used during our stay.

Nigel, you were told on arrival that the rooms were not serviced every day but could be on request at any time. This is following government guidelines, trying to reduce contact & keep Wales safe. We don't employ breakfast police, so if you had requested cereal/yoghurt as well as cooked breakfast, that wouldn't have been a problem. I'm not apologising for us taking a couple of nights off a week, remembering there is only 2 of us running the whole hotel & as you rightly pointed out, there's a pub 100 metres away.

A Great Stay
We were well looked after. The bedroom was spacious and fully equipped. There were TWO easy chairs, one each! Plenty of space to sit outside.

Great hotel with very friendly staff. Super breakfast. However, I wouldn't stay in Room 8 again as the creaking floorboards from the rooms above woke me at 05:10 and again at 05:50.

Family long weekend
Lovely clean hotel. We were made very welcome by Mac. Due to covid restrictions we were able to eat meals either in our room or on the outside terrace (not inside). Mac always kept an eye on weather forecasts to allow us to enjoy dining outside as much as possible. Would definitely recommend.
