Met friends there for a weekend away. Table for dinner had very low sofa seats but staff happily moved us to another. Food good. Bed very comfy. Breakfast all cooked to order and good too.

Great stay, highly recommended.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Restrictions due to COVID 19 were explained and the work around were great i.e. not serving breakfast, just help yourself to fruit, yogurt, plus tea and coffee from reception as none in room. Food was amazing, really high quality. One area for improvement was the dust in bottom of wardrobe which did get me wondering how deep other COVID 19 cleaning was?

Short stay in Raglan
Whilst a clean and functional bedroom, it lacked the finer touches and comfort of a £120 a night room. The food at the restaurant was fine but nothing to shout about, and the menu and atmosphere lacked in distinctive, Welsh produce and touches.

Would definitely recommend.
Very nice place to stay. Small bar and larger restaurant full of character. Lovely outside sitting and dining areas. The Coachhouse room we had was fairly compact with a small tv, if that's an issue for you, but clean and comfortable. Food excellent. Great a la carte menu, if a bit expensive - £25 for a ribeye steak, although a large one at 12oz. But their 2 courses for £19 specials menu was very good value. Good choice of beers and lagers. The staff work the small bar as well as the main restaurant, so service at the bar can be slow at times, but staff very friendly and attentive.

The staff was nice and helpful, although at dinner we had to wait until they were done chatting before coming to take our order. Then another 45 minutes to get our food, while other patrons were seated after us and finished their meal before we got ours. A pie and a chicken breast..?? The gal serving breakfast was friendly and helpful, again a bit of a wait. If you're looking for a slow relaxing experience, this will fit the bill. Clean, well appointed, beautiful location.

Raglan break
The hotel has good parking (they even have a charge point for electric vehicles)and is easy to find. The welcome and the waiter service was really excellent, they could not do enough. The food, well prepared and very good helpings at a reasonable price. Room was clean with coffee/tea making facilities and an excellent shower, well within expectations of a country hotel. the breakfast in my wife's words limited on choice but on of the best she has had. We would go back

The hotel/ pub was nice and clean but we were the only people who checked in. Little did we know the staff left after midnight including the front desk service. My concern was if there's a problem we wouldn't known who to ask or call. It was weird. Very dissappointing

This hotel had rooms that opened off the car park with a minimal views of car park or back yard. the rooms were small but comfortable and clean, we had a large bathroom/shower. we ate in the restaurant which was reasonably price, excellent food with most items being gluten free as standard. service was good. Breakfast was being run by one member of staff who also acted as receptionist and was overworked. She was very cheerful, helpful and friendly, she worked hard. Breakfast was late opening and they had run out of soya milk.

Mediocre and generally overpriced
This hotel has great potential which is not fulfilled. The building itself is interesting and in a good location for a variety of locations. Most staff greet you openly and are very friendly. The room we stayed in was a good size and well equipped but there were cobwebs all over and signs of wear and tear in the bathroom. The corridor outside creaked very loudly when anyone passed by. The restaurant was very low quality with rotten apples and outdated fruit and a poor selection at breakfast. Evening meal was very mediocre and generally overpriced. Staff generally aimed to suit themselves and not their customers with, for example, the cleaner vacuuming and mopping floors forcing you out of the way. Overall not good value for money.

Great place to stay
A lovely hotel. Stayed overnight since was going to a wedding in the area. Really friendly, great service, very clean room and a superb breakfast. Would stay here again.
