“Way too dirty to recommend.”
From the moment we stepped into the room, we were extremely disappointed with the cleanliness. There was dirt on the floor, a large piece of litter behind the bathroom door, and a significant amount of dirt underneath the beds. The room was also way too dusty on all the fixtures, windows and appliances. To top it off, it looked like the bathroom was never renovated and had original fixtures. Regarding the pool, although it was a nice feature, it was in major need of a renovation. There appeared to be mold on the ceiling and the whole structure looked like it needed to be replaced. The place also had a game room with a pool table and ping pong table. But again, the room was extremely dirty and had very musty smell. Based on these observations, I would definitley not recommend this hotel to anybody.
“Great”
We were in the MS Challenge Walk that weekend and would be up early and home late. It was a cozy room to come back to after walking 20 miles that Saturday! Style is a little older, but in the nice cottage way that has character. We had really wanted to try the breakfast but were up and out by 6am so never had the chance! Also wanted to take a dip in the pool but were just too tired by the end of the day. Looked clean and inviting though! The restaurant (literally right next door, we walked across the front lawn), Arnold's, was delicous. Onion rings were just right. Had we been less exhausted, we would have played mini golf there too! As it was, we had the tastiest ice cream sundaes (I recommend the peanut butter cup, yum) to bring back to our room and crashed with some pretty good TV channels to watch. Town Crier was a cheap option to stay at, but don't let it fool you. We were definitely impressed and very happy!
“Not Impressed”
This hotel seemed to attract every heavy smoker in Mass and they all sat outside my open window blowing smoke into it. The towels were thin and cheap and the window coverings inadequate...an unfortunate thing in a ground-level room. They did have wireless, TV and fridge which is very good. For the money, I guess it was OK but just barely.
“Not recommended”
Overpriced and under-serviced. Cape Cod is very expensive, this motel is not worth the price of admission anywhere else in the country. Pool was freezing in August and the breakfast too expensive, plus they owner keeps reminding you that the juice is extra and the muffins are extra and the eggs... etc... room was lacking in maintenance and housekeeping, I don't like to give negative reviews, she seemed like a nice enough lady but her hotel is rough and expensive, a bit of a rip-off.
