Def Worth It..!!
i had a really good time stayin here,the location is great..everytin u need to see is close by.tons of restaurants close by.bike and car rental rite opp to the hotel.for the price we paid for it was def worth it.Do not have high expectations.you get what you pay for and sum.the Air conditioning worked great which was the very important and the cleanliness of the room was also up to the mark.

So many better options especially for the price
Dona Alcina did not live up to the booking reservations made on Hotels.com. We were promised a non-ac room with a TV and a continental breakfast. There was no TV, and the 'continental' breakfast included extremely weak coffee and 3 pieces of dried bread (extremely hard with no warmth or toast markings) with only enough butter and jam for 1.5 pieces. The reception staff was extremely miffed that we wanted to check-in. It seems we interrupted an in important call, as he didn't put the phone down while trying to process us. He wanted to keep our passports for the night as he needed to photocopies. When we asked why he could copy now, we were told because it was closed. We still aren't sure what was closed. We tried again the next day and the front desk woman, again didn't want to put her phone down and but wanted us to wait for an hour for the photocopies. The only good point was the pool, it looked nice but you can't bring outside food or drinks to the pool, you MUST order from the restaurant. All in all, there are so many better choices with considerably better locations for considerably less in Candolim or elsewhere along the Goan coast. If you have any choice, look elsewhere.

Nothing wrong, but nothing great either
Dona Alcina is an old resort in walking distance from the Candolim beach. My expectations were very limited on this place and I was reasonably happy. To be honest, there was nothing wrong with anything in the hotel - the rooms were clean, the staff were very helpful and extremely courteous, the pool was clean, the restaurant was decent. Overall, a no complain situation.

Уверенные 2 звезды. Ночью в отель лучше не прилетать-индийцы по ночам спят:))) впрочем так тут везде-ночное такси стоит в 1,5 раза дороже, чем днем:) записаться на 10 сеансов массажа в обеденное время-не реально- все нормальные индийцы в обед кушают! Счастливые люди:) К вопросу отеля-очень много русских, которые почему-то сгорают у бассейна, а не у моря:) регулярные попытки администрации шумно развлечь постояльцев- шоу и дискотеки. Местоположение довольно удобное-рядом несколько волшебных камешек с действительно вкусной едой. В ближайшем супермаркете сразу покупается: репелент в розетку, чистые полотенца, туалетная бумага, ароматические свечи и чайник:) Переселение в более комфортный номер, уборка, замена белья на ресепшин прошли спокойно и дружелюбно. Так что если расслабиться и взять свой комфорт в свои руки-то все получится.
