We've stayed here for youth hockey a few times and each time have loved our stay. We recently returned and had another incredibly amazing stay. Christine at the front desk was amazing! She was kind, knowledgeable and went out of her way to accommodate us! Give that girl a raise!

She said they don’t make coffee cause they have to dump a lot because of the off season an not many people there, well they should get a fancy machine that makes different kinds of coffee in single cups. Thanks

Good location for access to Ha Ha Tonka. Room was just fine. Hallway reeked of cologne or body spray. As if they spray it on the carpets to cover up smells. Made me feel ill. Thank goodness I the room did not smell of it. Food services are in other buildings, so it's not so easy to run and get breakfast. Ended up bringing our own food in so we didn't have to waste extra time commuting to get breakfast. Microwave and mini fridge were in the room. Not bad but nothing to write home about.

Best staff ever!
Our stay at Old Kinderhook was to attend a weekend wedding. Unfortunately we could only stay for two nights--wish it could have been much longer. We have stayed in many hotels and resorts through the years but have never experienced the personalized service that we got from the entire staff af Old Kinderhook. We booked on hotels.com (never again) and discovered at check-in that there was a serious error made on our reservation. The Old Kinderhook staff went way beyond what would normally be done to help us get our problem corrected. We couldn't have fixed the problem without the help from the staff. This weekend stay was truly a great experience--and I'm not even a golfer!

Guess I didn't do something right when we arrived. We were given a room with a balcony next to the parking lot. Walter took over and put us in a room with a nice view of the golf course. Plenty of golf course view rooms available, not sure what I did to earn the parking lot.

The setting is gorgeous. The facility is very nice. Very well maintained. We only encountered two staff people who were friendly and welcoming. Mostly, we felt like they didn't want to be bothered. Not a huge deal, because it is close by (within a block or so), but the restaurant and lounge are in a separate building. Just not real convenient when you've been in the car for ten hours.

They have been here since 1999 along with the golf way before the hotel was built. The hotel was built 7 years ago. When you visit the Old Kinderhook again, we have golf carts that one of our staff will be happy to give you a ride to and from The Trophy Room.

The property is tucked away in the hills but easy to get to major road and within 10 minutes from dining. The main restaurant at the resort has a great view of the golf course

The property was fine and close to bass pro which was my destination for the following day. The room was a bit musty. I wanted to point out that the cost of tickets to the Bp museums has changed. There is now only one price. The manager was under the assumption that ticket prices were for different parts of the it. Therefore I missed out on the discount tickets offered. Great breakfast and friendly staff.

Kinderhook is always a special place to stay at while down at the Lake of the Ozarks. The property is always well maintained, and it is a peaceful and quiet getaway. In addition, the view of the pool and the golf course from the balcony is top notch.

Laying Low at the Lodge at Old Kinderhook
My 15 year old grandson and I made a road trip to Lake of the Ozarks. we found this property through Hotels.com. Beautiful setting and great for golfing. The property was very nice and well kept. There were limited hours for food at the restaurant located in another building away from the hotel. It was fine as we planned to spend some time brushing up on Chess and Backgammon skills. He washed out when it came to learning cribbage. Maybe next trip.

This property was amazing and located in a great area. The girl that checked us in was super rude and not helpful at all. Other than that the stay was perfect. The room was great and super comfortable. I'd stay here over and over again!

It is a beautiful area with the golf course and homes. Our complaint is that it was very loud. We could hear people walking in the room above us and in the hallway. We had to call to complain about the noise as the stomping went on for hours. The shower had very little shelving room for toiletries.
